Liked Loved the pitch selection, being spacious and with no near neighbours - so we didn't disturb anyone. The facilities were excellent, modern and very clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful, suggesting places for walks as it was our first visit to this area. Also really enjoyed the freshly baked goods available by order - very tasty. The view from the site was lovely - overlooking fields towards the sea.

Disliked We made the mistake of thinking we could walk to Hope Cove from the site which was one of the reasons for our selection, but there was no footpath down from the site (only accessible via the single track road which got quite a bit of traffic with people driving down to the Cove).

Liked On arrival we were very impressed with the site and the welcome from the staff. The setting is just beautiful and very peaceful amongst the trees. We like the natural appearance of the site, preferring it to manicured pitches at other sites. We also enjoyed being able to pitch where we wanted to be and chose a location just in the shade of pine tree as it was very warm. The facilities were excellent, very clean and organised.

Disliked On the second day of our stay about 60 teenagers arrived to camp in the nearby field (they were doing their D of E) they were very noisy running back and forth to the washing facilities through the other pitches and continued to do this and run about screeching til 10:30pm. I understand they needed some time to let off steam, but there was no consideration to other campers. When we asked at the shop about this we were just told that groups regularly visit - that wasn't the.problem - they were not suitably supervised. We presumed they would be going on to another location for the next night, but returned later for two more nights. Things did improve as they were more tired and other people had made complaints so the were told to walk around the pitches. A bit of a shame as otherwise we had some good chats with the students and a lovely stay overall, but we were not told on arrival about them and would have definitely pitched in a different location.
