Nem kedvelték slippery access to the river, would be nice to have a decent pontoon on each of the fields if possible. long long walk to the WC block

Apologies if we forgot to point out Oak Weir which is perfect for getting in and out of the river.
Depending on where you are pitching the facilities can be a long walk.

Nem kedvelték Lack of hot water to wash the dishes. There is only one point to obtain water and there was no hot water at 9pm to shower. The showers were also quite dirty at 9/10pm

We were not notified of there being no hot water or this would have been rectified.
The last clean of the facilities is at 6pm and the first clean is at 5am. We do ask guests to tidy up after themselves, it would appear not everyone does this.

Kedvelték Plenty of field. Next to the river. Great for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Long walking path. There is a pub, animal farm and a car boot sale as well.

As the ground is extremely dry, water spilled on the floor will unfortunately turn to mud.

Kedvelték Nice open site with easy access into the river. Sadly we weren’t there long enough to visit actual hop farm. Lots of toilets and showers which were cleaned regularly.

Nem kedvelték Could do with showers spread out into other fields as people mostly congregate in one area. Also a floor mop/squeegee we could use between your cleaning in showers please. Electric hook up field is very close together and sadly would question if some people camped with required fire gaps. Definitely need to enforce speed limit as did have the usual idiots unfortunately driving back and forth to campsite.

I was out quite a bit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and did stop a few speeding drivers, however a lot of my time was taken up the weekend of the 26th June when you were staying with guests who were not adhering to the campsite rules, being disrespectful to other campers and believing they had the right to do whatever they wanted.
Sadly putting out a mop/squeegee could be costly if having to buy replacements possibly on a daily basis.
Having said the above I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.

Nem kedvelték Rude staff, drunk drivers around the site at night shouting. Very large site but once set up in the far fields you have no access to the showers or loos as they’re near the entrance. We booked for 3 nights but left after one night

More information on the rude staff would be helpful in addressing this, there was only 1 staff member on duty and he did not patrol the site at 10pm. The out of hours number printed on your check-in card is pointed out and asked to use for any issues whilst staying on site, this includes if you see drunk drivers!
There is 24 hour access to the toilets and showers and guests choose where to stay when they have checked in. The field next to the toilets and showers had very few campers.
Perhaps a small site is more suitable to your needs.

Nem kedvelték Extremely rude staff/management.
We parked up avoiding the ‘X’ no parking areas to be told later by a rude female staff member that we shouldn’t have parked there because drunk campers drive fast on this part of the field to go to the toilets at night and it’s on us if we get hit by a drunk driver….
We then had to find shade from the 30+ degrees under the trees with our chairs near the river to watch my friend’s child in the water & also another friend has a heart problem and needed to get out the hot sun as she was feeling unwell with the extreme heat.
Again this rude woman comes over to say we can’t sit there. We were sitting well away from the footpaths & the river bank and were not blocking any access to the river for paddle boards etc.
Although she said we can’t sit there she never asked us to move & it was so extremely hot so we stayed put. Later she comes back again with her relentless, rude, antagonising attitude and asks for our passes, as I go to get mine she follows me to my camper and says ‘oh what lovely dogs’ when I come out my camper with my pass this woman is taking photos on her phone of my dogs and says she is reporting me to RSPCA because my dogs are in the hot sun. My dogs only came out of their shaded area because she approached my camper. My dogs were well shaded under my camper canopy with sun shades on the sides , were wearing cool vests, had cool mats, dog pool and fans…..
Clearly this woman is out to antagonise campers…..
There were many dogs off lead, one off lead dog attacked my friends dog…
There were cars speeding extremely fast & doing donuts on the field, there were vans with kids on the roof driving past, off lead dogs shitting in the field while owners were either oblivious, didn’t care or drunk…..

We cut our weekend short, packed up and left. This particular female staff/management was relentless, rude, had no manners, would listen to any reasoning or anything we had to say and totally ruined what should have been an amazing relaxing weekend away with a group of good friends…….

This female staff/management member could benefit from enrolling in Etiquette Coaching & Socialisation lessons…..

Such a shame as it used to be such a nice place to camp……

Kezelői megjegyzés: We want everyone staying to feel safe and secure which is why if someone camps in an area which could be dangerous we ask them to politely move, which they normally do. We also expect guests to be respectful to the grounds and other campers.
I do hope your dogs have not suffered from the extreme temperatures of this weekend of the 26th June. I know that dogs left unattended even if owners are in the shade themselves only a few metres away dogs will find every opportunity to stay in direct sun. I did not actually take photos of your dogs and said “I could report you to the RSPCA” which I did not.
Some guests chose not to bring their dogs this last weekend and if they could not find alternative arrangements for them they postponed their stay.
You should have reported your dog being attacked as this is a serious matter, I hope it did not need to go to the vets.
Having a fire under bushes and trees which are dry is a dangerous thing to do and potentially puts lives at risk.

Nem kedvelték Peopke with muddy boots all around shower floors not nice taking a shower then try to clean under your feet because floors in such a state not hop farms fault but a notice in shower block door might help. A few people were on about this not a good advert !

With the thunderstorm and heavy rain in the morning you arrived there would have still been the odd puddle around that some guests may have walked through and then entered the wash rooms. I am not sure many people would appreciate a sign asking them to either clean or remove their foot wear before entering.
