  • Worcestershire meadow campsite on the edge of the Cotswolds
  • A 10-minute drive to Broadway, and 20 minutes to Cotswold Farm Park
  • Woodland den, walks straight from site; 10 minutes’ stroll to the pub
Fancy a walking holiday or perhaps some time spent exploring spectacular Worcestershire castles? Need to keep the kids entertained? Cotswold Nights Away is a great spot for all this – plus the spirit of adventure that comes with a wild-camping-style break on the edge of the Cotswolds near Evesham. There’s plenty of room on the field itself for impromptu games of football, and adjoining the pitches is a small woodland available for dog walking and family games of hide and seek. A den sits among the trees, kitted out with a sofa and boardgames to keep everybody entertained. The local village of Ashton under Hill (10 minutes’ walk) has a pub and food delivery service, and the mellow-stone Cotswolds village of Broadway (10 minutes’ drive) is packed with indie shops and delis for barbecue supplies. If you fancy eating out, there’s a destination restaurant there as well as plenty of traditional pubs to choose between. Basic facilities on the open camping field include a well-maintained shower and toilet block with a washing-up station, plus ice-pack freezing and a communal fridge. Firepits are available for use, (no charge) and thoughtful onsite extras include flowerpots full of herbs for guests to use on their barbecues.

What customers say

This well-kept campground gets rave reviews from families, thanks to tons of toys, games, and activities for kids. Spacious, level sites have plenty of fire pits. Toilets and showers are consistently called clean and well-maintained. Some guests mentioned road noise, but most found it a non-issue. It’s a relaxed, good-value spot.

Liked The campsite was fantastic with lots of facilities we had a wonderful time and we will be returning the pitch was huge with enough space for a huge tent and our group and the children’s facilities kept my son entertained the whole weekend

Disliked On shower was constantly cold wasn’t an issue in the heat however could be in cooler trips and the grass was a little over grown but nothing a mower or strimmet wouldn’t fix and I feel some of the equipment could do with a refresh but it was excellent weekend and I’ve recommended to many

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Great campsite in the Cotswolds. Very thought out site, with plenty of activities and toys for children. The toilet and shower facilities were great, and the small washing up area was helpful. We also found the provision of some fridges and freezers very helpful, as the temperature soared to over 30 degrees during our stay. Loved the walk to the local pub and park too. The site is also close to the Wychavon Way.

Disliked Some of the information signs have faded and could do with redoing as they are a bit difficult to read now.

The space

Second year staying here and it’s has got better than last year! It’s a really family friendly site we got so lucky with others that were there , we will back many more times this year and already have next year plans for there.
I am not one for camping but when we found this place last year it’s the only place I’ll camp even when we live three hours away.
