N'a pas aimé I found it a little underwhelming, the site is basic and a little sparse in my opinion. I'm sure it is great for if you have kids as there were lots of games to play (paddle ball, table tennis etc). However, the sound from the busy road was very difficult to ignore, there were no marked bays for where to camp, you couldn't see the sunset because of the trees and there weren't many facilities.

A aimé Great location, clean and tidy facilities. Staff are very helpful and quick to respond via text.

I only planned on a 2 night stay but extended a further 2 nights.

I seen reviews regarding the noise from main road , yes you can hear it slightly but it’s not that bad.

A aimé We came as a group of 3 couples and there was plenty of room for us to pitch next to one another. Vibes were chilled, absolutely loads of stuff for kids to do if you're bringing them, good facilities, even has an American fridge freezer for everyone to use! Will absolutely come back again.

A aimé Huge pitch, very open site. 4 toilets and 2 showers were very clean. Giant chess/ mini golf/ skittles also a far number of bikes and ride on toys for younger kids.

Lots of the toys were very tatty and should be thrown away.
Shower was small when using with kids.

A aimé We loved our stay at Cotswold Nights Away and would happily return. We stayed on pitch 2, which was exceptionally large, with plenty of space around us, so the site never felt overcrowded.

Before arriving, I had read a few reviews mentioning road noise and had prepared myself, but we only heard the occasional tractor and a very small amount of distant background road noise. It certainly was not enough to disturb us or anything to complain about.

Even though we had no use for them, free earplugs are provided in the communal shed where the fridge freezers are situated along with lots of leaflets and maps.

The site has been thoughtfully set up for families, with toys, games, bikes and scooters for the children, a woodland play area and a marquee that is ideal for rainy days. The children’s equipment and the shed containing the fridges are not new, so expectations should be realistic, but everything was well loved, perfectly functional and greatly appreciated.

The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. There were 2 showers and 4 toilets and a double sink to wash up. (That i found.) Our stay was during the summer hoildays and the campiste was full, but due to the large pitch sizes the overall number of guests was low so none of us had to queue for any facilities for more than a minute or two and there was never a toilet queue.

There was not anyone physically on site to speak to, but a telephone number is provided for guests to text if there are any problems. We noticed that the toilet paper had run out in one of the toilets, sent a message and it was replenished within 15 minutes, which was excellent.

Free fire pits and tripods for cooking are available to borrow, with instructions to place them on slabs and bricks. Unfortunately, all the slabs were already in use during our stay, so we used the bricks instead. We did not contact the owners about this, but based on how quickly they responded to the toilet paper issue, I am sure it would have been sorted promptly if we had mentioned it.

The campsite is in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds, and there is a lovely pub around a 15-minute walk away. It is peaceful, spacious, welcoming and clearly run with a lot of thought and care. We had a brilliant stay and I will be returning and recommending this place to my camping friends

A aimé Lovely peaceful place , clean toilets and showers, drinking water tap available. Loved the woodland marquee with games and activities for families to enjoy. Turn up, pitchup and enjoy the time away, will definitely return, thank you for having us 😊

A aimé Was great for everything. Facilities were excellent. Close to shops and places to eat. Faculties were clean. Very impressed. Highly recommend.

A aimé Large, flat grass pitches. Clean toilets and showers.

N'a pas aimé The camp site is very close to a very busy A road where the traffic is flowing 24/7. It was so noisy the first night that we didn’t get any sleep at all. Unfortunately we had to leave the next day and forfeit our second night for our own sanity. There definitely should be more transparency with respect to the traffic noise. For reference we were located on pitch 2.

A aimé Very clean field, toilets and showers.
Lots of games and toys for children of all ages, even adults, to play. A beautiful large teepee for reading to your children before bed. Bikes for young children to play on - no hire, just to one side ready for children to take and play on. Great communication from owners. Answered all text messages politely and welcoming. Fridge freezers available. Very organised and fun. The best campsite we’ve been on.

N'a pas aimé The large group that stayed that allowed their older children to smash up the teens hangout area. My daughter had a look around as we arrived and couldn’t wait to show me the teens game room. After setting up our tent we walked over and there were a group of teens in the games room. Once they left my daughter was shocked and upset by how they had treated the games room. They had destroyed the area. Even breaking the table tennis bats. Crazy how family’s can allow their children to do such a thing on a lovely campsite. I hope they were spoken to about this. Obviously this is nothing to do with the campsite. Just wish people would take responsibility for their children of all ages and show some respect.
