  • Worcestershire meadow campsite on the edge of the Cotswolds
  • A 10-minute drive to Broadway, and 20 minutes to Cotswold Farm Park
  • Woodland den, walks straight from site; 10 minutes’ stroll to the pub
Fancy a walking holiday or perhaps some time spent exploring spectacular Worcestershire castles? Need to keep the kids entertained? Cotswold Nights Away is a great spot for all this – plus the spirit of adventure that comes with a wild-camping-style break on the edge of the Cotswolds near Evesham. There’s plenty of room on the field itself for impromptu games of football, and adjoining the pitches is a small woodland available for dog walking and family games of hide and seek. A den sits among the trees, kitted out with a sofa and boardgames to keep everybody entertained – and for that real festival vibe, there’s sometimes music at night. The local village of Ashton under Hill (10 minutes’ walk) has a pub and food delivery service, and the mellow-stone Cotswolds village of Broadway (10 minutes’ drive) is packed with indie shops and delis for barbecue supplies. If you fancy eating out, there’s a destination restaurant there as well as plenty of traditional pubs to choose between. Basic facilities on the open camping field include a well-maintained shower and toilet block with a washing-up station, plus ice-pack freezing and a communal fridge. Firepits are available for use, (no charge) and thoughtful onsite extras include flowerpots full of herbs for guests to use on their barbecues.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Friendly, helpful owner. Cleanest toilets I've seen on a campsite! Nice big pitch. Perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Perfectly good washing up facility, cleaning gear provided. Walk to the park and pub enjoyable.

Disliked: Road and train noise didn't really bother us, but suprisingly loud at night. Play areas need a good sort out and tidy, could be great with a spruce up!

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Laid back, easy spot for camping. Lots of families staying so felt safe as a solo traveller and it was close to Cotswolds/interesting places but still quiet and plenty of space. Nice trees and fields but the grass on actual pitches was well kept to not constantly worry about ticks. Good toilets/washing up space. Great sunrise.

Disliked: Some noise from A road nearby, but still fell asleep easily. Easy booking and good value for money.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Small friendly site with Relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic for families with small children, the owners have put a lot of work into making it fun and entertaining for the little ones. The activity tent has a ping ping table and lots of games set in the woods. The grass area has ball games and even small bikes to ride.Clean shower and toilet and a fantastic service of use of fridge, freezer and electric socket for charging. Fire pits a plenty and no extra charges like many other sites. A great location for walking and a short drive to exploring the beautiful local villages. Reading the previous comments about the road noise..yes..you can hear the road but it was no way a disturbing factor or disturbing.

Disliked: No dislikes about the site at all we stayed an extra night. Just a dislike to how some parents don't appreciate the children's equipment that the owners have supplied and how they have allow their children to leave the play areas in a mess. If everyone tidied after the children the service would sure to continue it must be heartbreaking the owners when they find things miss used.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Chose your own pitch. Easy 20 minute walk to nearby village with a decent pub for food. Lots to do for children if you have them. Large fridge and a freezer with labels supplied to put on food or drink. Sockets to charge phone etc

Disliked: Could hear traffic from the A46 as not far from this busy road. Only the one shower and 2 toilets for everyone, including those glamping (however these were kept very clean)

Liked: The site is lovely. Toilets and shower are nice and tidy. The weather wasn't great but we enjoyed it to the fullest. The kids were having a lot of fun with the ping pong table and the kids play corner with plenty to do. Highly recommend!

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Thought put into provision. A quiet, 'natural' campsite with lots of things for children and adults to self-occupy with (outdoor and indoor games), covered 'den'. Basic amenities (toilets, shower, fire pits available). Friendly staff Option for pre-pitched bell tents and wooden chalets (4-6 of each?) for those that want things a bit more laid on.

Disliked: Nothing really ... not for those looking to be 'catered for' ...
