  • Worcestershire meadow campsite on the edge of the Cotswolds
  • A 10-minute drive to Broadway, and 20 minutes to Cotswold Farm Park
  • Woodland den, walks straight from site; 10 minutes’ stroll to the pub
Fancy a walking holiday or perhaps some time spent exploring spectacular Worcestershire castles? Need to keep the kids entertained? Cotswold Nights Away is a great spot for all this – plus the spirit of adventure that comes with a wild-camping-style break on the edge of the Cotswolds near Evesham. There’s plenty of room on the field itself for impromptu games of football, and adjoining the pitches is a small woodland available for dog walking and family games of hide and seek. A den sits among the trees, kitted out with a sofa and boardgames to keep everybody entertained. The local village of Ashton under Hill (10 minutes’ walk) has a pub and food delivery service, and the mellow-stone Cotswolds village of Broadway (10 minutes’ drive) is packed with indie shops and delis for barbecue supplies. If you fancy eating out, there’s a destination restaurant there as well as plenty of traditional pubs to choose between. Basic facilities on the open camping field include a well-maintained shower and toilet block with a washing-up station, plus ice-pack freezing and a communal fridge. Firepits are available for use, (no charge) and thoughtful onsite extras include flowerpots full of herbs for guests to use on their barbecues.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Decent toilet and shower that was kept clean.
Campsite was not too busy and felt safe.
Communal fridge/freezers were an ice touch.
Free earplugs to deal with distant motorway noise was very much appreciated.
Lots of free info (maps and leaflets) were available for what to do in the local area.

Disliked Things like the different bin types needed to be better labelled.
The fridge/freezers needed to be better labelled. I put milk in the left side of what I thought was a double doored fridge, but it was in fact the freezer, as a result I couldn’t use the milk the next day.
The entrance to the campsite needs resurfacing.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Lovely site in walking distance of a lovely pub . Fuel and shop close by .
Everything you needed and more on the site , clean toilets and showers , plenty of fridges and freezers .
There was so much for kids to do , would be a great relaxing break for parents as kids could entertain themselves for hours eg dens , bikes , scooters , crazy golf , skittles , outdoor large chess etc

Disliked Bit too close to a busy main road , for noise

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked The location and great area surrounding camp (close to pub, petrol garage, evesham and diddly squat farm shop/farmers dog)
Relaxed vibe, pitched where you wanted with your car, campfire and bbq's. Didn't feel like you were being watched.
Loads of areas to walked to, and loads of surrounding walks.
Basic campsite (in a good way) with working toilets, warm showers, fridge freezers, dish washing sinks and loads of games and kids entertainment
Good area for signal, so we could search for places near by and use navigation
Appreciated a clear text message about rules, checking in and a what three words on location so it was very easy to find.
Had running and fresh drinking water too

Disliked If you prefer set pitches this won't be for you as anyone could just set up next right next to.
Even though the location is good, you can hear the bypass during the night so if your a light sleeper you may struggle (but ear plugs were provided)
