Liked Owners very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.The fishing was superb my husband was teaching me how to use rod and reel my second fish was a carp 181/2 lb my personal best and biggest fish. We had good weather during our stay.Loved watching the stars at night too.Caravan was clean and very well equipped we enjoyed some lovely home cooked meals. There was an abundance of wildlife to be seen eg Kingfishers ,storks ,Barn Owls and on site Chickens of different breeds, pigs ,sheep and turkeys .It was so tranquil we could relax and unwind . My husband caught many different fish all in excellent condition and of good size too.We enjoyed it so much we will visit again soon

Liked Gem of a site. Small but lovely. Full of wildlife to see and two great fishing ponds where the anglers were obviously enjoying catching some well sized fish, which was a hot rock watch (from non anglers ourselves). Highly recommended.

Disliked The track along the canal a bit hairy going in but taking it slow it was OK and wouldn't put us off going again.

Local attractions

The pubs, eateries, independent shops, traditional markets and award-wining butchers and grocers of lovely Louth are three miles away; after eats or shopping, have a wander around this historic town to see its 17th- and 18th-century buildings or take in a show at its Riverhead Theatre. Louth market days are on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The towpath of the disused canal runs along to Louth if you want to get there via a scenic wander, while if you're up for a longer walk you can follow it from there all the way to Tetney Lock, via the local churches, heaps of wildlife and spectacular views. A 20-minute drive away is the Donna Nook National Nature Reserve, where seals come to pup each autumn, and 30 minutes away are the beaches of Lincolnshire's eastern coast.
