  • Family-friendly park 10 minutes' drive from Newquay
  • Covering 56 acres including a dedicated dog area
  • Pool, play zones, clubhouse and fish and chip takeaway
There’ll be plenty of time for monkey business in this family-friendly site… Surrounded by a whopping 56 acres of countryside and a fab place for taking toddlers, Monkey Tree Holiday Park is 10 minutes from Perranporth and its huge open beach, as well as the lively surf centre of Newquay. As you might already (luckily) know, the north coast of Cornwall is tiptop for beaches – Newquay's famed for its world-class waves and heady nightlife, while Perranporth has kayaking and hovercrafting to get adventurously stuck into, and top-notch coastal walks on either side of the beach. Back at base, catch a few pages of your book while the kids splash about in the outdoor heated pool complex… or while they join in with the packed entertainment schedule for juniors (there's a talented in-house entertainment team on hand with a daily kids' club and Funky Monkey putting in a regular appearance). On top of that, a maze of net walkways, slides and ball pools means that younger guests will have plenty to keep them entertained, whatever the weather. Food's sorted with the on-site clubhouse and restaurant, and fish and chip takeaway (fish and chips + seaside = essential). Or fire up the barbecue instead: hit up the camp store for the essentials, or head to the grocery store 10 minutes away.

What customers say

Great site, clean spacious pitches, top pool, heaps for kids. Friendly staff. Some found booking pool tricky, minor facility cleanliness issues, noise, and iffy Wi-Fi. Handy for local beaches. Can get busy, but most loved it and would return.

Liked The pitch was nice and clean and big enough.

Disliked Didnt like been in the middle of every one on the fir site. I would have rather been a bit more private.. and the shower block over there needs abit of TLC I think..I walked to the other ones as they were cleaner and abit more modern

Liked We absolutely loved everything about our stay! The swimming pool was amazing, and the activities for the children were incredible. There was always something fun for them to do, which made our holiday even more relaxing and enjoyable.

This is the perfect place for parents who want to truly enjoy their holiday while their children have an unforgettable time. It's especially ideal for kids who love playing football, with plenty of opportunities to stay active and make new friends.
There was always something fun for them to do, which made our holiday even more relaxing and enjoyable.

Liked - Pitches were super flat and a really decent size.
- Good facilities.
- Friendly staff generally.
- The pool was clean.

Disliked - Summer bar was too loud. It was too busy and we frequently could not get a table and we had to leave a lot due to sound.
- Really loud people very late into the night/past midnight frequently.
- Entertainment was the same every night apart from later night stuff.
- Very expensive extra play and such things as well as food and drink.
- The booking system for the pool was not exactly fair.
- Lifeguard wouldn’t allow my child in non-swimmer zone with her floatie even after he confirmed she could swim when we showed him with it off and she just wanted it on to not tire out so quickly (lifeguard said there were too many people for him to remember she could swim and was just looking at the float aid - I’d argue maybe check all the ones using inflatable ands noodles then as well if that’s the rule).
- Toilets and showers not cleaned after 7pm and we were next to the block that was next to the bar so they got very messy very quickly.
- WiFi and phone signal was atrocious.

Local attractions

Cornwall’s coastline and beaches are pretty much legendary, but Newquay (10 minutes) is world-famed for its surf and nightlife too. It’s a party town from daybreak until well after dark and the surf's so good they hold international competitions here – check out Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Perranporth (10 minutes) is the place to head for a more relaxed beach day, though it’s very popular so best to get your towel down early. The beach here is a fab spot for dog walking, rolling up the trousers for a paddle or lazing around and copping a look at the views. The Eden Project (35 minutes) has the UK’s most realistic rainforest, full of rare plant species and exotic butterflies, as well as a pretty nifty Mediterranean biome. Daredevils can also have a go on England’s longest zipwires here.
