What customers say
This campground has a great location, perfect for visiting Nottingham and the National Water Sports Centre. Guests love the spacious sites, friendly staff, and easy check-in. While generally clean and well-kept, some mention the washrooms are a bit dated or not always tidy. Still, its family-friendly vibe and nearby activities make it a top pick.

felt tired and not enough staff looking after facilities
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Stayed in rafters field toilet nearby and good size pitches, ice cream van visiting site was nice in this hot weather
Disliked Toilet doors kept braking during stay and wouldnt. Close properly, forcing us to go to the toilet in pairs to hold the door closed for one another. Park shown on pitchup with slides for kids is not nearby , is a 15-20 min+ walk down road opposite camp this wasnt clear as signage and maps for the site are poor

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Its a great site for most pitches with a good location to the water sports centre. Family friendly, dog friendly and decent size pitches. Showers were hot
Disliked Our pitch was close to the road side so we found it a little noisy when trying to sleep.
The shop on site doesn't offer a good variety of produce.
Shower and toilet block a little outdated mostly clean but occasionally dirty.

Good site location for a nice walk down the river. Useless showers
Powered grass campsite
Liked Location was great to walk down to the river to see the boats. The rafters area where we stayed was nice enough
Disliked The toilets and showers was only cleaned once per day. They then shut the water off half way through washing my daughters hair so this had to be washed out using the water in the tent. My partner went to the shower blocks in the next field which only had 2 showers working. Then the next day 2 out of 4 showers on our field was out of order

The facilities massively let this site down, has much more potential
Powered grass campsite
Liked Big site, with plenty to do around. Not far to drive to local shops too.
Disliked Facilities were not great at all. Nowhere to change babies, which made things very difficult with a little one, luckily the weather was nice as we had to bath and change baby in a paddling pool at the tent. Showers were either scolding hot and no way of changing the temperature or freezing cold in the second shower block. The showers were constantly blocked, meaning the water was backing up and you had to stand in water up to your ankles.
The shower blocks were also very dirty, we were there for 4 days and didn't once notice them being cleaned, with how busy it was this should have been done several times throughout the day.
Also most campsites that we have stayed on have had communal fridges/freezers for ice packs etc, there wasn't any here and the electric cut out twice whilst we were there, so this would have been good to have especially in the warmer weather.

Family friendly
Powered grass campsite
Liked Lovely clean campsite. We had a fantastic bank holiday weekend. It's a friendly site with lots of families. We had our own shower etc so cant comment on the shower facilities. However we did use the toilets whilst the children were on the park and found them to be fine. Great location for walks, watersports, cycling and close enough to walk into town. We will definitely return.
Disliked We couldn't stay longer due to work.

Couldn’t stay due to travellers invading the site
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked I have given 5 stars purely because we were given a full refund as we could not stay due to travellers on the site. We were only advised on Friday morning so spent a considerable amount of time trying to find that needle in a haystack BH 3 day break on the hottest May BH since the records began. We did manage to find someone and my heart did go out to the site owners. They must have lost a lot of customers/cash this weekend
Disliked Can’t say as didn’t stay

Great trip

Liked Open clean site large pitches . Lots of space
Toilets clean
Disliked One toilet block little bit of a walk , second park for kids small for the amount on site

Great site marred by the small But noisy and unpleasant minority.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The location for access to Nottingham is great, the pitches are clean and well kept. Very good walking routes along the Trent river.
Disliked Large groups on the site with little or no regard for the site rules or basic manners, towards the other campers. There was an almost dangerous use of vehicles between nearby areas of the site, at all hours, vehicles parked anywhere with no regards to other campers. Probably most disturbing was some of the music being played from vehicles was politically motivated. Specifically republican songs.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great location, easy to get to Nottingham sauna cold plunge
Good sized flat pitches, shop.
Disliked Toilets/shower block, no water on final morning, too many people for the 8 toilets/shower rooms, no loo roll in some toilets by early evening. Need more toilets and showers.
Only one water point for Rafters field.
