  • Water- and land-based event centre in 270 acres of parkland
  • Easy access to Nottingham city centre, rail network and airport
  • Country walks, nature trails and lots to do for kids on site
What do you reckon is the main flavour of activities at this Nottinghamshire site? Yup, top of the menu at the Holme Pierrepont Country Park, near Nottingham, are all sorts of watersports: you'll be able to tackle a whitewater course for canoeing, kayaking, rafting and tubing; paddleboarding; and open-top canoeing. This is a land-based activity centre too, so if you don't fancy plunging into the foamy depths or would quite like to stay dry for a day, other options can be tackled at the outdoor adventure zone where there's an aerial adventure course, miniature golf, a kids' activity club and archery combat. A large play park, country walks and nature zones are also on site (please note some activities are subject to availability and must be booked at reception; early booking is advisable). Feeling a bit faint just from reading all this, and think you'd rather spectate? The centre has kindly included a country park café and a regatta lake where it hosts its own events like rowing and canoe regattas, dragonboat racing and triathlons. Lots are on offer too to keep the kids amused, including a woodland adventure playground and a nature trail, a short stroll away. Although all this energetic excellence is only 10 minutes' drive from Nottingham city centre, it's well into the countryside and away from anything townie, as it's deep in the 270 acres of parkland of Holme Pierrepont Country Park. The campsite part of the park covers 18 acres and has a facilities block with showers and toilets, and a site shop selling selected groceries and camping supplies.

Great spot near water sports & Nottingham. Praised for spacious, level pitches, cleanliness, and friendly staff. Families love the playground. Concerns raised about toilet block cleanliness/maintenance. Limited shop stock & occasional noise noted.

Liked Good location

Disliked Firstly kids shouting and running around at 4-00am and also litter and rubbish everywhere, toilets also old and out of date, and no one around to contact about it, I even tried calling the site to asked them about it and again no one answered, put immediately on to an automated answer service!! Absolutely disgusting service from them.

Liked Great position on the outskirts of Nottingham with a bus stop right outside.

Disliked No management whatsoever. Shop closed, reception closed, toilets were dirty but at least there was toilet rolls in there.
Several pitches appeared to be occupied by travellers, rubbish strewn across the pitches and even washing machines left outside vans. People arguing loudly at midnight, just an unpleasant experience.

Liked Site was tidy

Disliked Toilets and showers were dirty, run down and clearly not checked. The water wouldn't go down the plughole in the shower so I had to come out of the shower and stand in the public area to get my clothes on. Didn't use the facilities anymore as too grim

Liked First time staying at Holme Pierrepont, 2 families with small children. Stayed over halloween weekend. Site is lovely and spacious, very good amenities. The residents that live there made the weekend special for the kids by putting on a lovely display. Would definitely return again

Liked Great location pitches very good bus stop outside the gate

Disliked Showers were hot but didn't have much room would probably work if two cubicles were made into one however that was in the brick built showers not sure about the ones in the wooden huts as they were not open they may be the upgrade that's needed to get round the issue we used the disabled shower as the site wasn't busy the week we went
