The facilities were in the poorest hygiene condition I’ve ever seen, used sanitary products all over the place. Which isn’t the sites fault, it the people that visit but you are lucky if someone cleans the place once a day.
Our pitch flooded which meant we had to pack up and leave 2 days early because when I enquired about changing to staying in one of the statics on site they tried to charge me another £200!
The site is based in the middle of nowhere which is nice but not when you need to escape the site. There was litter and broken plastic and glass everywhere, never cleaned up. My daughter couldn’t use the park because the kids on there were f ing and jeffing every other word and come 8pm the site turns in to a social services worst nightmare with drunk adults in charge of children. The pool has way too much chlorine in it for it to be enjoyable and the staff who double up as lifeguards pace up and down a small section of the pool like they are on some sort of mental drug making you feel anxious and wanted to say sit the f down!! We tried the on site restaurant to give ourselves a break from the camping area one night, we all wish we hadn’t bothered, the food was disgusting!! Over cooked cheap food with no taste and when I asked for mayonnaise to try and disguise the awful taste I was given a tiny pot with enough mayonnaise for 3 chips so had to keep getting up to ask for more.

Μου άρεσε The arcades were good. The swimming and choice of activities for the children. The park was good and love how they have gluten free peroni.

Δεν μου άρεσε The guy who was running the touring camp was very rude. He was cleaning the toilets and my daughter needed the toilet. He said you cant come in so I asked where she could use the toilet he said in thr disabled. I went and the door was locked, we waited incase someone was inside. My daughter wet herself as she couldn't wait that long. I went back and told him they were locked his response was. "Well you will have to come in here then. This is why I never get anything done!"
I didn't think this was professional.
When we went in the bar we only had a few options as I have coeliac i only had one option. It was a pizza. I asked for pepperoni and jalapeños but it only came with pepperoni. All the food came and we had no cutlery. I went and asked and they said we dont have any she said we will have to bring it over. I explained the food was already at the table so they took it from another one. Then the same food came out again, they had cooked it twice.
You couldn't get a shower when someone else was in there as they didnt work at the same time. 3 cubicles were always locked and a lot of the toilets.

Μου άρεσε Solway Holiday Park was immaculately clean and the location of the touring pitches to the main entertainment complex was great.

Δεν μου άρεσε Shower water pressure was very very poor. Speaking to another camper she mentioned that she visited the site last year and the showers were great so it might be a one off maintenance issue.

Μου άρεσε The staff were all friendly. Swimming pool was warm, didn't eat any food so can't comment on that.

You could pick your own pitch.

Δεν μου άρεσε The site is very very noisy. 2 nights out of 3 we were woken at 2am by one large group returning to site shouting across the field to each other, revving their cars and just generally had no consideration for anyone else on the site. There didn't appear to he any warden or anyone controlling this.

The showers were also not great only 1 would work at a time and they weren't very clean at all.

Μου άρεσε Nice area, pitches were well kept, staff helpful, plenty to keep the kids entertained, reasonably priced, restaurant staff very helpful when our food all come out incorrect.

Δεν μου άρεσε Toilet and shower areas not the cleanest. Didn’t see any cleaners in 4 days/3 nights.
No freezer facility like some other sites I’ve stayed on (for refreezing our cooler packs). Also a microwave on the touring patch would come in handy. Again this is just privileges we’ve had on other sites and have come in useful for us.

Μου άρεσε I liked the size of the site and the ability to choose the pitch on arrival. The shop had plenty of options and the play area was good.

Δεν μου άρεσε I didn't realise you had to book a swimming slot, this was not advised prior to arriving. The staff did let my daughter in the pool for an hour but she said it was dirty and wanted to get out after 15mins. The touring site was noisy through the night and there was a lot of rubbish. Could do with more than one play area on a site of this size.

Μου άρεσε Large Plots for Campervan, near toilets and shower block

Δεν μου άρεσε Very busy, Toilets and floor dirty and Site very dated.
Couldnt swim when wanted to had to book.
Was told to chose own plot, so Chaos finding a suitable one that didnt have all the electric hook ups used, near by tents had used all three leaving me with one.
Multiple cars parked on Plots so leaving less choice
