Gostou Loved it
Very busy as it was during the school holidays but it was quiet at night
Liked the pitches felt more like being abroad, lots of trees and grass
The entertainment was great, enjoyed a ride on a bike for 4 had a laugh and a good look round the site
Lovely walk down at the sea front
Maryport has an aquarium and fantastic fish and chip shop

Gostou Nice large spaces, site was reasonably priced, clean, good shower facilities decent entertainment for the kids. The man and woman who ran the arcades were absolutely fantastic nothing was too much trouble for them no matter how many times you call them over because your sweets were stuck

Não gostou We were there a week and security do nothing, loud music supposed to stop at 11pm, still going until 4am, open fires, police there one night but that’s because some people can’t handle their alcohol, people pulling up and no one telling them where to pitch so they were going where they want making them too close to yours and other pitches making them a fire risk

Gostou Lots of entertainment for the kids, free swimming/arcades. food in the restaurant was ok, not a great selection. great location and great sunsets.

Não gostou Toilet blocks weren’t cleaned enough as soon as they mop they allow you straight back in so the wet floor ends up thick of mud, toilet roll everywhere kids running all over the toilet/wash area. quite time is supposed to be 11 but we were up till 3:45am as people were being arrested. Poor security didn’t know what to do.

Não gostou Screaming kids up untill past 11 racing round on electric bikes with boom boxes blaring out, then the adults? Start coming back from club steaming drunk ,and start partying again while 4 in morning

Gostou The facilities were good no complaints.

Não gostou We were allocated pitches 2 and 3 on the camping slots as my niece also had a pitch.

Please do not accept them if you want any sleep, as they are opposite the toilet facilities, powerful had dryer's constantly being used right through the day and night, then it's starts getting very busy from 5am, all the kids were constantly round them like moths to a light screaming shouting, riding fast electric bikes and scooters all day until 10pm, and to top it off a water point is right outside your tent causing your tent guide ropes to be pulled out or tripped over,no privacy as they all watched you as they filled up, even though 20 feet away attached to the toilets block was a second water tap.

So the second night a huge argument started at 11pm going on until the police arrive at 2.30am and arrested them, the hole camp was awake.

To be fare .... It was the clientele, security had no control.

We left two days early because we couldn't cope with the noise any more or the feral kids.

My advice if you can handle the constant noise this camp would suit you or go when the school holidays finish because parents just let their kids run feral.

Gostou We had a fantastic time camping. The facilities were much cleaner than expected for a camp site. There loads to do so the kids were never bored.

Gostou Lovely atmosphere. Other campers amazing. Shower and toilet block fantastic. Didn't spend much time at the entertainment but looked fun. Drinks pricey. Had the pizzas from the van were very lovely.

Não gostou Had issue with booking. Over paid by £43. Couldn't get anyone to help me from pitch up or the actual site. Kept getting bounced from one to another. Felt really let down by pitch up.

Gostou Close to the town showers were nice and powerful and hot

Não gostou Unfortunately the shower inclosure did not have any dry area so your standing in a wet shower trying to get dry and dressed and that's if you're clothes don't get wet too plenty of noisy people with no regard for anyone else dogs barking in caravan's while the owners are going out kids running around the toilet and shower block but they are just enjoying themselves which is fine take your own toilet paper when you go because there's not always paper in the toilet roll holder take food or go into town as the shop on site is quite expensive

Gostou The location of Solway holiday park is good with the town, sea front and the arcade/ park only a short walk from the site. The facilities on the site are modern. The shower blocks were relatively clean and user friendly. There were a variety of activities on the site including swimming and an arcade with a great selection of games for the children to play. Most of our group were impressed with the food in the restaurant (with the exception of one incident) and the pizza truck in particicular was a hit.

Não gostou Although the shower blocks were clean and up to a decent standard, unfortunately the toilets weren't great. The floors were dirty, the soap dispensers were not topped up and the sanitary bins were often overflowing.
Overall the pitch that we were allocated was spacious and out of the way of the crowds, however, we did have an issue with noise on the second night of our stay when another camper started playing loud music late in to the night (way past the 11pm curfew) with little consideration for the families around them. When we attempted to alert security on the phone number the site provided, the number did not connect and when we went to find a security guard to alert them in person, the security guard was very reluctant to go and speak to those involved (he did go eventually). Additionally there were a couple of instances where random children from elsewhere on the site would come to our tent/ on to our pitch and show an interest in our children's belongings which also made us feel a little uncomfortable. The number of children riding electric scooters or bikes extremely quickly was also disconcerting. Our kids are quite young and nearly got knocked off on a couple of occassions. Finally, we had a small issue at the restaurant when one member of our party was forced to send his food back twice. On the first occasion, his meal was extremely over cooked (the pie was rock solid) and on the second attempt it was cold inside. He received a refund in the end and left without a meal which did put a dampener on the evening.
