Positiv Great location, 4 miles from the city centre. Stepps railway station was a 10 minute walk away so you can be in the city centre in under 15minutes once you are on the train. Really clean site with nice big level pitches

While there is a limited selection of restaurants and takeaways in the immediate local area, many guests prefer to head into the city, where there is a much wider choice of dining options. Alternatively, there are over 200 restaurants and takeaways that deliver to the park through services such as Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo, so there are plenty of options to choose from. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and hope to welcome you back again soon!

Positiv Site tidy and surprisingly quiet for a suburban setting. Decent size pitches. Dog walks from site. Train station 20 minute walk away so easy access to Glasgow and beyond. Good recycling facilities.

Negativ Poor signage to pitch with no staff available after 5pm or weekend which was frustrating after a long drive. Some other campers had obviously struggled too and kindly helped us out.
No water refill facility at pitch, so had to move again to sort that out. Showers barely draining which was unpleasant and no one remedy this.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you found the site tidy and quiet, with good-sized pitches, dog walking from the site, good recycling facilities and convenient access to Glasgow by train.

We do, however, feel it’s important to clarify a few points raised in your review. All guests receive a site map with their booking confirmation email, and guests arriving after 5pm are also sent a separate email with detailed directions explaining how to find their pitch. Staff are on site every day, and an out-of-hours contact number is provided for any questions or issues. We’re therefore disappointed that you stated there were no staff available after 5pm or at weekends, as this does not reflect the arrangements in place.

We’re also unclear why you expected a water connection on your pitch, as our pitches are not advertised as fully serviced pitches and do not include individual water points. There are numerous fresh drinking water points located around the park for guests to use.

You also mention that the showers were barely draining and that no one remedied this. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this issue during your stay, so we had no opportunity to investigate or resolve it at the time. Had it been reported to us, we would of course have looked into it.

We appreciate that the site may not have met your expectations and are sorry to hear you have decided not to return. However, we do feel it is important for future guests reading your review to have an accurate understanding of the facilities, arrival information and support available on site.
