Positiv The park for children, brilliant open space with a decent variety of equipment.
Reasonably consistent wifi available.

Negativ The cleanliness of the facilities was appalling and clearly not seen a cleaning cloth in several months. Very, very dilapidated and grubby.
Massive disappointment that the blue rabbit cafe was "closed for the year" (written on a chalk board outside) despite being advertised as open on the website.
A genuine shame as this place has such potential to be great if only some time & effort would be put in into maintaining and cleaning it.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Sorry you thought the facilities weren't at their usual standard of cleanliness. They are cleaned everyday and nearly everyone comments about how clean they are. On the Saturday last weekend the usual cleaner was off sick so someone else came in at the last minute to clean the toilets, but they didn't have as long as usual to do them. I see you stayed near the older campsite toilet block. We also have two new lovely toilet blocks by the campsite entrance that you could use.

This year the Blue Rabbit Cafe is open for wood-fired pizzas on Friday evenings - it says this on the website and in emails. There is also a cafe 100m away at the pub in the village.

I hope you managed to come to the famous 'animal feeding' experience on Saturday at 5.30pm and got to meet the newborn baby alpaca, the baby goats and the new puppy - as well as feed all the usual animals - sheep, pigs, alpacas, goats etc and got to see Cem the sheepdog do his tricks - people love animal feeding and often list it as a highlight of their stay.

Sorry you didn't have a good time, most people love it here because it is clean, friendly, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, by some woods, near the village park and a short drive from the beach. We also have all the farm animals for people to visit, do pizzas at the cafe and are a 2-minute walk from a pub and a cafe. People like it so much that many come back year after year.

Positiv Kids loved the animals, bathrooms were clean, Arya was really lovely and helpful.
Shingle Street was pleasantly surprising for solitude!

Negativ Can't fault the site, but nearest groceries require a drive- one is on the army camp at Sutton, the other is well stocked Morrisons Daily at Hollesley.

Positiv Large plots, green, close to Woodbridge and coast. Chickens wandering around. Very friendly place

Negativ Showers always full of soil/grass do to many people camping, showers too hot for me. Dishwash area always grubby.

Sorry you found the showers full of grass and soil - it is so dry at the moment that the grass is like straw and it is a bit dusty which probably gets tracked into the showers. The toilet blocks are cleaned everyday but sometimes people don't clean up after themselves when washing up or showering which is a shame.

Positiv The site is very clean and well kept. The farm animals are a delight . The animal experience is one not to miss. Just remember you will get dirty . We have been coming on and off to this camp site for a few years. That says it all really. Fab for children to explore .

Negativ Nothing to dislike. Real shame the Rabbit cafe could not open as from experience it’s fab . We missed it.
