Positiv Could be a good site

Negativ The constant smell of sewage and every morning waking up to a tractor with a Bowser full of sewage being emptied into a drain right in front of my caravan and filling my caravan with the very strong smell of raw sewage, not very pleasant and the whole idea of the trip was to walk my dogs on the beach morning and evening but to find out when I arrived the steps was closed why not tell before i arrived on site

Positiv Site set in a very beautiful area! Easy to book, staff friendly and helpful, toilet facilities clean and great little shop and bar right on site. Stunning walk through the forest to Dunwich and the beach. For those preferring to drive, large free car park and a lovely beachside cafe with outside seating, totally unspoilt, beach so lovely!

Negativ Many pitches rather shaded due to so many big mature trees. We were kindly given a less shaded pitch per request, but sadly this was close to the play area, so a little noisy as during the school holidays. Sadly steps to beach from site closed following the recent heath fires, but acknowledge this was temporary and for our own safety.

Positiv Wonderful site with great clean well managed facilities . Staff still recovering from wild fire trauma so treat them with compassion xxx

Positiv Very friendly as always, we asked to move to a quieter pitch and the staff were very helpful and moved us with no bother. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Positiv Like the view was amazing looking out to the sea. Clean loos and very open.

Negativ We felt rushed off next morning a guy said we were meant to be off at 10 when we were told 11 day before and then said well.its coming up to that now we still had 15 minutes, the beach was also was closed off just not alot to do we only knew once arrived.

Negativ Showers and toilets are a little dated, very clean and tidy though.

Negativ Not great communication - I appreciate challenges with the recent fire but would have appreciated being told the road was open and we could access and also that the beach steps were closed. I was also made to change the way round I parked yet I was the only person in the entire field

Negativ Very poor customer service. I appreciate that things must have been very difficult with the heath fire but we have had no direct communication with the camp site about our booking for well over a week now. In the end we had to cancel and make alternative arrangements. We spoke to customer service twice at Pitchup who promised to get back to us but never did. It remains to be seen whether we get a refund.

Positiv We were booked to arrive on the Friday when the heath fire started.

Having seen the news we knew we wouldn’t be going.

The site telephoned us to explain the situation. We received further updates over the weekend and have been told we can arrange to stay for free later in the year. The site also offered us a free trip to Africa Alive which we chose to offer back to any other family that would benefit more than us.

Negativ Absolutely nothing, customer service was fantastic.
