Casa de Fruta is surrounded by the gently sloping hills of the Pacheco Pass Valley and has been welcoming travellers for decades. It's a large recreational vehicle park with full hook-ups, pull-through, grass and hardstanding. The site has a seasonal outdoor pool, a a wine tasting room and a restaurant, open 24 hours and serving breakfast at any time as well as home style favourites and regional specialties including fresh fruit and cream pies baked on site. Other facilities include a train and carousel ride, a playground, a deli and a bakery.

Casa de Fruta is conveniently located near Gilroy, California, which hosts the Gilroy Garlic Festival in July. Stay here and avoid the driving and parking hassle by riding the Casa de Fruta Garlic Shuttle to and from the festival grounds. Casa de Fruta is two miles east of the junction of Highway 152 and Highway 156, so is easily accessible from Highway 5 or Highway 101, and is on the way to most popular places in these parts, including San Francisco, the scenic Monterey Bay Area and Yosemite National Park. Visitors can go hiking and sightseeing at Fremont Peak State Park or Pinnacles National Park, 27 miles and 40 miles away respectively. For a beach view, drive 50 miles to Pebble Beach and Monterey Bay.
