  • Family-friendly site five kilometres from the resort of San Sebastián
  • Shuttle bus to town running every half an hour
  • Restaurant, bar and barbecue area on site
Right. Firmness is probably needed here. If you're in the habit of holidaying fairly regularly in Spain and you haven't yet been to San Sebastián in the Basque Country, it's a firm fact that you really should, and soon. San Sebastián is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain and has been described as the country's 'most elegant and fashionable seaside resort' (high praise indeed…) And you might want to stay at WeCamp San Sebastián too: it's only five kilometres from the resort's gorgeous Ondarreta beach, in a sublime setting between the mountains and the sea, and – how super – runs a shuttle bus to San Sebastián every 30 minutes. WeCamp San Sebastián is a family-friendly site with modern facilities, including an outdoor pool (open during high season only) and a kids’ club that handily runs daily activities. Covering the practical side of things, the site has an amenities block with plenty of showers and loos, hot and cold water all day and night long, and coin-operated washers and dryers. For eats, tasty local meals are dished up at the site restaurant, and a roomy barbecue area with picnic tables is available for guests' use. Thirsts can be slaked at the WeCamp San Sebastián bar and supplies sorted at the on-site supermarket; shops and restaurants are just over half a kilometre away.

What customers say

This campsite is highly praised for its excellent location and regular, convenient bus service into San Sebastián. Visitors frequently highlight the cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the modern shower blocks, and the friendly, helpful staff. The on-site restaurant and bar are generally well-regarded. However, some reviewers mention that pitches can be small, uneven, and may have limited access, with a few noting the site's hilly terrain. While generally positive, a minority found the site expensive and some experienced issues with restaurant service or pitch allocation.

Non-electric grass and gravel campervan pitch

Liked Great pitch on no through area.. so no passing traffic or vans.
Very shady if hot… Water standpipe Nextdoor. Toilet block a short walk away but up the hill.. not a good site for those that don’t like walking or have mobility problems!
Shower block was best I’ve ever seen and water has piping hot…

Disliked Nothing…

Liked Lovely private pitch with plenty of room for our Camper van, awning, table & chairs. The whole site was clean and the facilities - swimming pool, grocery shop and restaurant were very impressive. All the staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed our two days at this site very much!

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch (plus)

Liked Location near San Sebastian, with frequent bus to the city. Note, this is not a campsite shuttle bus, but is a paid for city bus.

Disliked Tiny sloping pitch, which was very difficult to get our small 2 berth caravan on to. Location faced the bins, a high concrete wall and a gate to the camper park over the road with a loud buzzer, so it was very noisy.
Had to ask where the water was located and was told to use the camper hose down a steep hill. The toilet shabby and covered with graffiti. Also you had to use the washing up sinks to wash your hands if you used the urinals. The working shower (only half) ran cold. Half the washing up sinks only had old water. As this was the most expensive site, twice the price of all others, on our 7 stop holiday I would have expected it not to be the worse site we stopped at.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch (plus)

Liked Sehr gut um San Sebastian zu besuchen. Kleiner Campingplatz mit allem was man benötigt.

Local attractions

San Sebastián city centre is 15 minutes’ drive from WeCamp San Sebastián – or do get that 30-minute shuttle bus... Once in town, firmly recommended are scenic strolls along its three beaches: La Concha, the surf centre Zurriola, and Ondarreta, a family-friendly and large stretch of sand also known for its surfing and bodyboarding. San Sebastián is quite the foodie city too – many inhabitants are members of the local gourmet clubs – and has heaps of well-renowned restaurants at which to sample Basque and other cuisine. It's a cultural place as well, home of the San Sebastián International Film Festival and of Jazzaldia, the longest continuously running jazz festival in Europe; small wonder that, along with Wroclaw in Poland, San Sebastián was awarded European City of Culture for 2016... The city is also (sí, there's a whole heap more) famed for its pintxos, the small bars of the region serving tapas alongside its drinks. Head to the San Sebastián Old Town to try the best of them: another reason this city is a must is that it has the highest concentration of bars in the world.
