- Family-run seaside site a short drive from Ibiza Old Town
- Aguamar waterpark around 30 minutes away by car
- Car, motorbike and bike hire, terrace restaurant and supermarket
Peace and quiet – in Ibiza? Such a state of affairs is surely possible with a stay at Camping Cala Nova, family-run since opening in 1984 and on the south-eastern side of the island a short drive from the town of Santa Eulària des Riu.
Your nearest beach is a 50-metre stroll from here for swimming, diving, paddleboarding and paddling in a safe and clean family-friendly setting, next to a wide bay and the Punta Arabi promontory. More lengths of fine sands and clear waters are within a 15-minute drive: hire a car or motorbike on site if you'd rather not take your own wheels.
The site is surrounded by pine trees and protected sand dunes, close to hiking, cycling and horse riding trails and within easy cycling or walking distance of Las Dalias market under five kilometres away. Clubbing connoisseurs can reach Ibiza Town within half an hour's drive, and the Aguamar waterpark is a few minutes further from there for rides, slides and pools.
After a day at the beach, retreat to the Camping Cala Nova terrace bar and restaurant overlooking the sands for a leisurely evening of eats and drinks, or source supplies at the site supermarket to sort at the communal barbecue area. A shop with camping supplies, groceries, fresh bread and drinks is just around the corner; shops and restaurants are in Santa Eulària des Riu under 15 minutes' drive away.

Local attractions
Cala Nova has two beaches, both cleanly kept and popular with families. Also well worth a sandy trip in the area are Cala Martina and Cala Boix, within 10 minutes' drive, and Es Figueral within 15.
Santa Eulària des Riu's famed 'hippy market' of Las Dalias is another popular spot in the area, running on Saturdays throughout the year and on Monday and Tuesday evenings from June to September.
Another hippy market, Punta Arabi, is at nearby Es Canar on Wednesdays from April to October.
If you're looking for a more peaceful Ibiza vibe than the busy bars and clubs, make for the museums, art gallery and cafés of Ibiza Old Town/ Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famed sights include a 14th-century cathedral, the town battlements, castle and the archaeological museum – all as you make your way upwards along the steep streets to the spectacular vista of the town below.
