Pitches overlooking the sea, hills all around, an outdoor pool with smashing sea views and mere steps to a small sandy cove – there are rather a lot of strings to Camping O Muiño's bow. Set beside the A Guarda and Baiona road on the Galician coast between sea and mountains, Camping O Muiño is a tiptop family seaside resort in the Rias Baixas region, with excellent facilities to keep all amply entertained. For days when you don't fancy the short walk down to the sea from the site, a large outdoor pool overlooks the sea; for days when you do, a fine sandy beach with rockpools lies right next to the park. Foodies will be pleased to learn (if they don't already know) that the Rias Baixas region is famed for two things: wine and seafood. If you want to try out traditional local gastronomy, the Camping O Muiño restaurant specialises in the same, with dishes and bottles of local wine to feast on and sip from among the sea views. When you fancy sampling some local cuisine in one of the local towns, you're eight kilometres from the city of Oia, 12 minutes' drive from a restaurant and shops in Baiona and 20 minutes by car from more of the same in A Guarda.

Liked Las vistas sin espectaculares desde el camping.
Muy bien la atención en el bar y en el supermercado

Disliked Las duchas son de botón en lugar de grifo, no puedes seleccionar la temperatura del agua, los lavabos también son de botón.
Los fregaderos son de botón y agua fría que no duran ni para aclarar un vaso.
Un camping que dice que es de primera, no puede tener estos servicios, que no son ni de tercera.
Las fuentes del camping, también de boton algunas con un un hilo de agua que cuesta un montón llenar una garrafa.

Liked Top view of the sea provided you have a place that is not blocked by other campers. Toilets were clean. No big camp ground and hence not too crowded.

Disliked Price with 58€ a night for 2 people including electricity is quite something eve though that was directly at the coast. Restaurant was rather poor and overpriced.

Liked Beautiful relaxed coast side site with sea views and sun sets, small beech at the bottom of a short flight of steps, the showers and toilet blocks are among the cleanest you’d find , staff are friendly and helpful , with a shop on site lovely relaxing place to stay.

Liked The site is well positioned right on the Atlantic coast. We had a pitch right on the front. As it was near the end of the season it had that feel about it with very few people on the site and some of the facilities closed down. The facilities that remained open were very nice and clean. The site is right on the camino giving foot and cycle access to good rides. I would think in season this is a very busy site with family orientation.

Disliked It was a bit of a hike to the facilities as only the main block remained open.

Liked Location right on the Camino route next to the sea. Clean, hot showers, good laundrette. Tasty breakfasts available and takeaway food in the evening. We visited right at the end of season so didn't expect to find food available. A pleasant surprise and very friendly staff.

Local attractions

Go sea fishing from the rocks next to the site or try hiking, horse riding or quad biking in the Serra da Groba. Guided kayak tours around the Mougás and Pías rivers is another popular option, and this is a top spot for visiting the Lower Miño and kayaking in the Tamuxe river over at Pozas de Loureza point. Visit Vigo, the region's major port city around half an hour's drive from base; apart from the obvious draws of its historic monuments, beaches and marina, it's got some pretty excellent museums and galleries and, as you'd expect from a major fishing port, the place is filled with top-notch restaurants serving the freshest of seafood eats. Head to the famed harbour there to take a trip out to the Cíes Islands for snorkelling and swimming. In Oia, less than 10 kilometres from Camping O Muiño, there's paragliding from the O Castro and Corbelo hills, or you can visit the lakes towards Toroña and A Cheira, where there are heaps of waterfalls and natural pools that make for popular swimming spots.
