Bring the dog, bring everyone down to Camping and Glamping Muiñeira, a smasher of a site on the O Grove peninsula, in north-western Spain. Canine companions are welcome here, and there are dog-friendly beaches less than five minutes’ drive away. The welcome extends to everyone of course, and there’s a focus on the things families need to have a relaxing time away from home. There are baby changing facilities and bathtubs for the smallest of holidaymakers, and a safe playground for hurtling about in for slightly taller types. You'll be busy in the surrounding area, but the team here has made things easy for your downtime back at base. In the morning, you can stroll over to the café-bar for a coffee, take in the sea views from the sunny terrace as you plan your day and pick up supplies from the on-site convenience store, then head out. Need a bike or a kayak or a paddleboard? Easy, hire one from the site. Fancy toddling to the beach with no firm plans in mind? Fine and dandy, there’s a wooden ramp taking you plus pushchairs, dogs, parasols, kitchen sinks… all the way down to the sands. Need a few tips, maps and pointers? Ask in the office, they’re experts…

Liked You couldn't fault the location and the views.

Disliked For some reason the site were unable to take card payments from 1/9/26
The pitches are a little cramped with make manoeuvring difficult.
Not sure there is much they can do about the following two pints but they are worth noting for other users-
The site is close to a noisy road
The premises next door has a spot light covering their garden which means if your pitches is on that side you will have bright light until 2.30am

Liked Endroit calme au bord d’une magnifique petite plage. Très propre et très bien entretenu. Proche de un magnifique petit port et d une charmante petite ville. Quelques magasins et quelques restaurants, pas trop loin, une petite cafétéria avec une vue à couper le souffle. Attention en juillet et en août ça doit être bondé et certainement moins agréable. Nous sommes allés au mois de septembre et c’était parfait.

Disliked Emplacement assez venteux. Car sur plombant à la mer.

Disliked Inadequate and broken toilet facilities, 2 out of 3 gents loos unusable.
No bikes for hire as advertised.
Surprised to find they didn’t take card after 1st September so left us bit short of cash.

En cuanto a los aseos, queremos aclarar que las instalaciones funcionan correctamente y se revisan y mantienen de forma habitual. Lamentamos que durante su estancia tuviera una percepción diferente y tomamos nota de sus comentarios.

Respecto a las bicicletas, el servicio de alquiler no lo gestionamos directamente nosotros, sino una empresa externa que retira las bicicletas al finalizar la temporada. Sentimos que esto le haya causado confusión.

En cuanto al pago con tarjeta, nuestra política de pago puede variar al finalizar la temporada y disponemos de otras opciones como efectivo, transferencia bancaria y Bizum. Entendemos que hubiera sido preferible conocer esta circunstancia con antelación y tomamos nota de ello para mejorar la información que ofrecemos a nuestros clientes.

Gracias nuevamente por su visita y esperamos que, a pesar de estos inconvenientes, hayan disfrutado de nuestra ubicación y de la playa.

As for card payments, our payment policy may vary towards the end of the season, and we also offer other payment options such as cash, bank transfer and Bizum. Liked La playa es bonita, o'Grove maravilloso, baños y servicios ok

Disliked Lo peor es que está al lado de la carretera, con tráfico día y noche hasta bien tarde (4-5) de la mañana. Muy poco adaptado para niños, hay solo un mini parque de zona común y además según donde estas ubicado tienes que cruzar la carretera cada vez que vas s la playa, y a los servicios del camping.

It’s a five-minute walk to the nearest beach, and there are further sunny and sandy spots within easy reach: if you can’t decide, take the bike path round the bay to San Vicente Do Grove (10 minutes on two wheels, five by car) and make up your mind enroute. The surrounding town of A Lanzada has various watersports outlets, supermarkets, bars and restaurants (and paintballing, if you’re that way inclined). The O Grove peninsula is a mushroom of land sprouting off Galicia’s north-western coast, a lush land for walking and wildlife spotting. Outside San Vincente Do Grove, paths lead through a handsome green landscape along the cliffs, where birds of prey circle above, the winds spray you with Atlantic salt and little tracks lead down to deserted coves for swimming and rockpooling. This is one part of the Galician Atlantic Islands Maritime-Terrestrial National Park, made up of mainland dunes and cliffs as well as archipelagos out to sea. Head to Sanxeno, 15 minutes away, for boats out to Ons, the largest and closest of the islands and hikes through a pristine landscape of green hills, quiet beaches and sea caves. For a contrast, make the hour-long pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela: others will have travelled further to this UNESCO-protected city, which is the end point on the St James's Way pilgrim route stretching thousands of miles across Europe. Santiago is a lavishly decorative medieval city, whose massive cathedral and tempting traditional cuisine will battle over your body and soul.
