  • In the forest and mountain land of jamón ibérico
  • Five minutes' drive from the riverside town of Navaconcejo
  • Pool, sports court, bar-restaurant and playground
Off to Extremadura? Come to the Cáceres province and hog a stay at Camping Bungalows Río Jerte, one of the Spanish homes of famed cured ham jamón ibérico. This is an area of lush land filled with green forests and towering mountains – there be reasons why the wild Black Iberian pigs contentedly snuffle around these parts... Camping Bungalows Río Jerte is a few minutes away from Navaconcejo, a town of the Jerte valley on the riverbanks of Rio Jerte – river dips are much recommended here in the height of Spanish summer... The Sierra de Gredos Regional Park and the Monfragüe Natural Park are both nearby so active sorts won't be boar-ed. Bungalows Rio Jerte has an outdoor pool, a sports court (to work off large quantities of jamón ibérico and other local cuisine), a pétanque area, a ping pong table and a playground. The bar-restaurant is a busy meeting point for guests, who flock here to sample the tapas, local dishes and cold beer – again, you might want to investigate the sports court at some point during your stay... Amenities include a toilet and shower block suitable for to disabled guests, a chemical disposal point and a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers.
