OK, so it's not quite the case that all roads lead to Km Zero Camper Park… but if you're speeding through Spain down the AP-7 or hugging the coast along the N-332, this well-presented park could certainly come in handy. As the name suggests, staying at Km Zero Camper Park is a fab first step for those who want their hols to fan out to all the best bits of the southern Valencia region. The fact that the place is located between Gandia (15 minutes' drive) and Oliva (10 minutes) – both popular towns – certainly goes a long way (as does the fact that you're under five kilometres from the beach). Set in central L'Alqueria de la Comtessa, an attractive spot with handy supermarket and takeaway options, the site also has nifty transport links for cyclists, who can pedal down through orange groves or to the sea. There's also a bus stop about 100 metres away where you can catch services that run to the two nearest towns – useful indeed for tourers who don't want to steer wide vehicles through narrow urban streets. Facilities here include toilets, showers, a washing and drying room and a bar with seating both indoors and out. Although there's not much in the way of grass here, the hardstanding areas are very well-maintained; for a bit of greenery, sit on the picnic benches and let your eyes peruse the fresh fields below.

Liked Nahe Autobahn, alles sehr sauber, freundliches Personal.
Die Stellplatz Reservierung hat super geklappt. Der Stellplatz war mit unseren Namen gekennzeichnet. Alles Prima kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Liked Sadly don’t stay due to the map that’s on there location takes you to a different place 56km away , I double checked it and it done it again , see to be a few issues like that when I tell them they say that happens a lot 🤷🏼‍♂️

Liked The lady who greets you is very friendly, and even though she doesn't speak Spanish, she makes herself understood. It has a toilet, showers, loading and unloading facilities, sinks, and an automatic washer and dryer. There's a small terrace with tables and chairs where you can have a drink. The facilities are simple, but they have everything a traveler could need. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely stay here again.

Earmarked some time to wander round Gandia (15 minutes' drive)? The town has an ornate ducal palace once owned by the Borgias, plus a handsome theatre, an archeology museum and plenty of parks. As capital of the agricultural La Safor region, this is the place to try a range of tasty local produce or get the gang together around a big steaming pot of paella, a Valencian staple (the site staff also recommend trying 'Fideua' and 'Arròs al Forn'). For fresh air (or to burn off excess calories after lots of mega-sized meals…), hot-foot it to local hiking areas like the marshy Parc Natural de la Marjal de Pego-Oliva (25 minutes) or, for a mountain stroll, La Tortugueta (30 minutes). Valencia (about an hour) is an absolute corker of a day trip: covered markets and wide avenues, plus key attractions like the cathedral and City of the Arts and Sciences, can all be toured on foot in the historic centre. The city is also a fashion hub, with both top international brands and local designers' shops for a spell of (window) shopping.
