Camping Riu is a family site in the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park, two kilometres from the beach and 600 metres from the urban centre of Sant Pere Pescador.
The site is set up for laidback holidays, surrounded by nature but also with a vast choice of activities such as kayaking, fishing, birdwatching, hiking and cycling. There's direct access to the sea by sailing along the river; kayak rental, paddleboard rental and boat mooring are all available on site. Aquabrava waterpark and skydiving at Empuriabrava are each 15 minutes' drive away.
Facilities include a pool, a Jacuzzi, a kids' pool and a waterslide for adults, along with a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. A kids' club and day and evening activities (tournaments, magic nights, dancing nights and more) run in July and August.
The site also has a gym, direct access to a fishing pond, and a playground.

The site is in the second largest wetland in Catalonia, the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park, made up of ponds, pastures and floodplains at the confluence of the Muga and Fluvià rivers.
Activities including kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, canyoning, skydiving, windsurfing are available within a short distance.
The site is well placed for cultural days out too, such as the Empuries ruins at the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya 15 minutes' drive away; the Dalí Theatre-Museum (25 minutes) and the Dali Museum (40 minutes) and city days in Figueres (25 minutes) and Girona (45 minutes). Barcelona is an hour and 50 minutes away.
