  • Swimming pool, bar, restaurant, sports and entertainment on site
Planning a break on the Costa Brava coast, famed for its wild coves, cliffs and clear Mediterranean waters? Enter Camping Santa Elena Ciutat, a green, dog-friendly site 900 metres from the closest beach. This place is in fact 10 minutes’ walk from Playa de Fenals (so close that guests come and go without a thought) and within half an hour’s walk of yet more coves – including one that very much meets Costa Brava’s ‘wild coast’ reputation. Of course, its top location might be its biggest selling point, but with 10 hectares of greenery and plenty of shade from centuries-old trees, there’s a lot more to like about Camping Santa Elena. The site has a bunch of long-standing facilities (old but tenderly cared for and constantly being improved). These include a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, volleyball and football fields, bar, restaurant, miniature golf and entertainment schedule. It'll take you just 15 minutes to stroll to the centre of Lloret de Mar, where there are all kinds of restaurants, bars and shops, as well as several amusement parks, the Can Garriga maritime museum (half an hour’s walk), shows in the Teatre Municipal de Lloret de Mar (25 minutes) and the Gran Casino Costa Brava (25 minutes’ walk) Some of the wildest local coves are Platja de sa Boadella (15 minutes), a popular snorkelling spot with fabulous shallow water, and the even more remote Cala Banys (25 minutes). As for those who are looking to take a day trip to a big city, Girona (40 minutes’ drive) and Barcelona (an hour) are some splendid and achievable options.

Electric optional gravel and sand touring pitch

Liked: First time here and enjoyed very much. We had a lovely pitch which was in a small wooded area (only 5 or 6 vans in this "fairy grotto" with lovely lights set up at
night-time). Within strolling distance of bar, restaurant, pool and 10/15 mins walk into some nice bars in town. 15 mins in taxi to Lloret. Site clean although showers need a bit of updating but there is another shower block a bit further up the hill which has been updated. Staff very nice
friendly and helpful.

Disliked: We thought it was an all season site but it wasn't. (well not what we consider all season) Not long after we arrived things were starting to close. The pool (and i don't think there is an indoor pool option) and we were aware that restaurant and shop were also about to shut till the end of low season.
Staff very kindly let us book for short term periods ( a week, a few days so we could plan our departure and sort out our next stop). Kudos to staff and the site for allowing us to do this.

Disliked: Disappointing Facilities and Lack of Communication:

We stayed here in June and were quite disappointed with the experience. The toilet and washing facilities were not well maintained and below expectations. As we were in a tent, we were placed quite far from these facilities, which made things very inconvenient.

There is a restaurant on site, which was one of the reasons we chose this campsite, but it turned out to only be serving drinks — no food. At check-in, no one informed us that the kitchen was closed, which left us scrambling to find dinner elsewhere. This lack of communication was frustrating.

Overall, the campsite didn’t deliver on some very basic expectations, and we wouldn’t return.

Electric optional gravel and sand tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The pitch, proximity to nice small beach. Fennells. Facilities very clean.

Disliked: Parties of school kids on residential at the time of our stay had an extremely loud disco until late, but the noise did stop at 12.
Our second night was much more expensive due to bank holiday. Pool closed.

Electric optional gravel and sand tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: bathrooms were new and nice design with rain showers. Not too far from beach and supermakets very close

Disliked: no live music or shows in evening even on weekend, but it was off season, so maybe why. The entrance to the pitches was broken bricks, maybe dangerous for the car.

Electric optional gravel and sand touring pitch

Liked: The site was very peaceful and also popular.
The walk to own was pleasant with plenty of places to stop for coffee along the way.

Disliked: The site was pretty much closed for the season. This meant no restaurants open on site.
It was Halloween and only a burger van for food.
Such a shame
