The nightlife’s nifty in Sitges – in the summer, the town’s particularly lively thanks to Carnaval celebrations but the bars are typically busy all year round. Head into the centre for posh restaurants and fancy boutiques or saunter to one of the beaches (there are 17 all in all…) for salty swims. A 25-minute walk away, the Platja de les Anquines cove with kayak and stand-up paddleboard rental is the closest stretch of sand, while the longer shores of Platja de l'Estanyol are a five-minute drive. Escape the crowds on a wander beside a quieter bit of coast around the Punta de les Coves with its views out over striking cliffside scenery or stay in town and amble along the Passeig Maritim pedestrianised waterfront boulevard with an ice cream in hand from one of the parlours.
