Liked: Lovely campsite next to river with good sized pitches and good bathroom facilities. Half hour bike ride into Salamanca which was delightful. Good shop and restaurant on site and a good swimming pool. Very helpful/friendly staff.

Disliked: Quite a busy and noisy main road running alongside the site.

Liked: Great site, staff are very helpful and friendly the pitches are generous in size there are brilliant walks by the river which is a five minute walk away the bar and restaurant is well staffed who speak various languages and the food is good and reasonably priced.

Disliked: Although the reception staff are efficient, on the day we arrived there was only one person booking people in, but a 30 minute wait to get checked in??this could be improved.

Liked: All Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant fabulous. Nice pool with grass surround. Spacious shady pitches.

Disliked: Mini Market too small, not a great selection. Men's toilets and showers cubicles some had broken or missing locks.

Liked: We really liked the staff, the shade, the facilities!

Disliked: The schedule of the swimming pool could be longer and we needed a place next to it to have our dog. As dogs are not allowed at the area of the swimming pool, I couldn't be swimming with my husband and daughter at the same time. The wifi was really bad.

Liked: Me encanto la estancia en este camping, el cual estaba super limpio todo, las instalaciones eran muy buenas, parcelas muy amplias, excepcional el tiempo que le dedican a los niños con fantásticos juegos y entretenimiento donde además de jugar hacen amigos de manera fluida. El restaurante que está dentro del camping sirve una comida muy rica y de calidad. Y todo el personal del camping super amables, atentos y con disponibilidad absoluta para resolver cualquier duda o necesitas que les solicitamos.

Liked: Decent but some things are annoying. Shop at the campsite close by 7pm… why? WiFi doesn’t work. You can’t get a coffee from the bar before 9:30pm… why?

Local attractions

Salamanca, of course… drive or cycle from Camping Don Quijote to this spectacular city, a university town, UNESCO World Heritage Site and former European Capital of Culture. Where to start? The Don Quijote team recommends just getting lost among the city streets; every corner, they say, is worth it, and at any time of year too. If you prefer your sightseeing time to be more itinerary-based, make first for Plaza Mayor, often called the most beautiful central plaza in the country, and stay until dark to see the baroque architecture light up. And then? Other Salamanca sightseeing options (there are many) include taking one of the four routes around the city, pottering around the Casa Lis Art Nouveau and Art Deco museum, having a look at the Escuelas Mayores courtyard at the University of Salamanca, and sampling yet more local cuisine such as chanfaina (steamed rice with pork) and hornazo meat pies – drop into the visitors’ centre in the San Millán Church for all the info you need.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Entertainment and activities are available between 09/07 and 30/08.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The bar is open between 01/03 and 13/11.
The grocery shop is open between 01/03 and 13/11.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The restaurant is open between 01/03 and 13/11.
You'll need an Environment Agency rod licence (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/06 and 09/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 01/03 and 13/11.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Taxes

This area is not subject to city tax.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m..
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 7:30 p.m..
