What a pretty place – and how splendidly set for old city sightseeing too. Peaceful and family-friendly Camping Fuentes Blancas in Spain's north-western community of Castile and León is a bit of a beaut: set greenly and spaciously among the Castile and León countryside but only four kilometres from the fab old city and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Burgos. You can pedal all the way to town from here – hire your wheels on site if you haven't brought your own – along the mostly flat route of the BU-800 (you should get there in under an hour along the same path if you care to amble instead). Or you could ramble off along the site's handsome tree-lined trails, or take your bucket, spade, beach towel and fishing rod to the river and sandy beach a minute or two's stroll away. Have a gander of the site pics to see the scenery you'll be settling down among when back at base: you'll probably plump for mucho time on the green and spacious terrace for post-sightseeing or post-sands sups, pausing occasionally for a plunge into the pool if you need to cool off. The team sorts entertainment for all ages if you're in a bit of a dither about what to do, with competitions, dancing and shows all on offer; there's a communal lounge for lounging indoors, and the kids have a well-equipped playground to clamber and swing around.

Liked Location, and decent sized pitches, Ideal stop over but would not stop for more than a couple of days. Lovely 45 minute walk into the town centre along the river.
The old town was very pleasant, the cathedral is stunning.
Did not use the toilet/shower block but feed back from other people was positive.

Disliked Site looking tired and needs updating. Could only find one fresh water point and that was from a connected hose pipe which was laid on the ground and leaked and near the grey waste grill, very poor.

Liked Location good, walk or ride into town of Burgos was lovely. Pitches quite level. Bar for drinks and had a snack. Did not have a meal so could not comment

Disliked Toilets and showers. Came here a couple of years ago and they are exactly the same. Who on earth paints the tiles and wall purple. Makes the place look dark and dirty. Although the toilets were very clean but the showers looked wrecked all hanging off the walls. Needless to say we didn’t have a shower.
The fact you have to book two nights, we would have preferred and overnight stop. Couldn’t get Wi-Fi on pitch

Liked De locatie vlak bij de stad en het kloosyer Miraflores.
De rust was ook heel fijn.

Disliked De plaatsen waren wat krap, weinig echte schaduw en de toiletgebouwen zijn aan onderhoud toe er werden matig schoon gehouden.
In het restaurant was dexeerste ochtend het toastapparaat stuk dus brood ipv tostada. Dat kan gebeuren, maar 3 dagen later was het nog stuk. Dat kan niet.
Wifi werkte niet. 1 ster omdat 0 niet kan
