Surf’s up, everybody. Life at oceanfront Camping Playa de Ris revolves around the beach and its spectacular Atlantic rollers, making this place a paradise for surfers.
Luckily you don’t need to be a surfer to fit right in at this laidback site in easy-going Noja. This is also a place where you can slow the tempo right down, spend time with the kids, building sandcastles or splashing around in rockpools on Playa de Ris beach. You might also like to get together a picnic (there are handy stores close by for supplies) and paddle a canoe to rocky Isla de San Pedro, exercise your dog on the beach, or get back to nature with bracing hikes along headlands with ocean views.
Back at base, evening action centres on the beachfront bar, where crowds gather to watch the sun set through picture windows and chat over a couple of local beers and tapas snacks.
This site is simple in style, but its amenities include a shower block and launderette, plus parking and a free wifi connection too.

Camping Playa de Ris is all about getting back to nature, so ditch the car for a few days to explore locally. The Paseo de la Costa trail leads to dramatic coastline views at Mirador Monte De La Cabra or Civil War landmarks at Cañón y Polvorín de la Guerra Civil (both 20 minutes’ walk), and there are gentle family strolls on boardwalks in Marisma de Joyel nature reserve (half an hour).
Tear yourself away from the ocean rollers to whizz at speed around the track at Karting Los Molinos (15 minutes) or hire a bike and pedal to coves tucked around Noja Bay .
To mix in a bit of Cantabrian cultural life, jump in the car for a wander around Santander’s (40 minutes’ drive) Mercado de la Esperanza and elegant streets, or take in Spanish art treasures at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (one hour).

No refunds within 12 weeks of arrival date.
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.
