Whichever way you look, there are excellent views… Camping Peña Montañesa is set in a highly scenic and handy locale next to the Cinca river and at the foot of the Pyrenees. Settle down here to relax among those views or head off into the great outdoors on active days and excursions. Facilities are well sorted for all sorts of guests and include a seasonal outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool with a sauna, and a multisports area for tennis, football and basketball. All of the facilities are set near the site entrance, so as soon as you arrive 'home', you're set for more activities. Camping Peña Montañesa has a restaurant and bar, a supermarket, and well-maintained amenities blocks with free hot showers, a small baby-changing room and facilities for disabled guests. And another aspect of Peña Montañesa's cracking locale? The village of Aínsa-Sobrarbe is five minutes' drive away. This hilltop village has a castle, a couple of small museums and a historic plaza, as well as shops and restaurants.

Liked Accueil, amabilité propreté, multiples services proposés, restauration, piscines, terrains de sport : tout cela au top et nous avons passé un excellent long week-end de Pentecôte.

Disliked Pour les rando VTT, dommage de devoir emprunter la route pour rejoindre Ainsa. Pour les enfants à vélo, c'est plutôt dangereux. Un chemin parallèle serait plus sécurisant.

Aínsa-Sobrarbe, the area's main village, is five minutes' drive from Camping Peña Montañesa and has an eleventh-century castle and twelfth-century church as its main mountain-surrounded sights. On top of that, the site is perfectly placed for exploring the Pyrenees, and for the hiking, birdwatching, and rock climbing of the nearby Ordesa y Monte Perdido national park. Within a 50-minute drive is Barbastro, the city at the junction of the Cinca and Vero rivers, and an hour and a half by car will take you to the city of Lleida, one of the oldest towns in Catalonia.
