Surrounded by the mountains, forests and meadows of the Aragonese Pyrenees, eco-friendly WeCamp Pirineos sits in a wild and unspoiled Huesca landscapes and yet is only a short five-minute drive from pretty Boltaña, with its shops, restaurants and cultural happenings. Family-friendly facilities around the spacious grass pitches – handily tucked under trees for summer shade – should keep everybody happily entertained. Get busy on the padel tennis and basketball courts, knock a ball around the football field or engage the kids in games of fast-paced table tennis. Talking of the kids, they can give parents a few moments of peace as they disappear off to make new pals at the teens club, and when it’s time to cool off, you can all head for the pool for a refreshing dip followed by a laze on the adjoining sun deck. Eating options are plenty too; head for the on-site restaurant for regional dishes, beers and wines, or check out Boltaña’s tapas bars and grill restaurants. To capture the essence of the mountainous Sobrarbe region, ask at reception about tastings at olive groves and vineyards, or recommendations for ultra-local picnics and cycling or hiking routes. You can hire mountain bikes (or e-bikes for those steep alpine trails) on site and set about exploring the Pyrenees foothills.

Liked Los lavabos (a pesar de que les faltaba limpieza, la gente también es poco cívica), el camping en general es bonito, la tienda, el restaurante, el personal es muy agradable… el pan recién horneado y sus pastas por la mañana. Buena ubicación como base para recorrer el Pirineo aragonés.

Disliked La parcela súper pequeña y creo que nos tocó la peor, demasiadas juntas, nada de privacidad para aprovechar al máximo el terreno y poder sacar más dinero.
La limpieza era escasa en algunos días, en la zona de fregaderos y baños. La gente es poco cívica en este y en cualquier camping, se pasan por el forro la idea del baño familiar y lo utilizan jóvenes para arreglarse y poner su música mientras están ahí todos juntos. (y nadie lo supervisa o les dice que ese baño no es para ellos)
Caro para el tipo de parcela que ofrecen.

Liked Lovely campsite in the Pyrenees. Well stocked shop on site, excellent swimming pool area and very friendly and helpful lifeguard. The lady working in the shop was also lovely. Very clean showers. Good complimentary WiFi throughout site.

Disliked The restaurant was understaffed. Waited approximately 90 minutes for 2 kids burgers and a pizza! Whilst the food was ok it was quite basic.

Liked Sehr schöner Platz in fantastischer Umgebung, die zu Tagesausflügen einlädt. Der Poolbereich ist ein Spaßbad, das besonders für Kinder keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die sanitären Anlagen sind außergewöhnlich freundlich gestaltet und piccobello gepflegt. Sehr gerne wieder einmal und dann auch länger!

Spectacular Boltaña (five minutes’ drive) is packed full of history; climb up to the 10th-century, hilltop castle for views to the mountains, or admire the eclectic architecture of Colegiata de San Pedro and the Monasterio de la Virgen del Carmen, Calle Afueras, then have a wander around the tiny squares and cobbled streets of the dreamy old quarter. Other pretty villages deserving your attention include medieval Aínsa (10 minutes), with its pink-stoned Romanesque church and cafés scattered around the central Plaza Mayor. Atop a craggy bluff, Torla-Ordesa (45 minutes) has dramatic views of Pyrenean peaks and is gateway to hikes and bike rides through the limestone gorges and lush forests of Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park (50 minutes). If walking is too tame for you, the Ara River is the hub for watersports. Locally, you can fix up canyoning, kayaking and white-water rafting expeditions from Boltaña.
