It might be on the Costa del Sol, but quiet Camping Iznate is in a peaceful little town in the Andalusian area of Axarquia, a province that's home to a goodly handful of trad Spanish towns and attractions, and has a family atmosphere to help guests have fab and chilled out hols. The site is also only a short walk to the city centre of Iznate, and has some of the most viewsome mountain vistas you'll see anywhere – pics are just above...

On the A7, take exit 265 signposted Cajiz-Iznate. Follow the directions towards Iznate and continue on this road for approximately 9km.

Local attractions
The site is a short stroll from Iznate city centre, where explorers aged can wander around Moorish neighbourhoods, 16th-century San Gregorio church and a range of restaurants serving traditional regional food.
Another nearby city, Vélez-Málaga, is the capital of the Axarquía comarca and another fave for explorers in the area who don't want to be at the busier towns of the Costa del Sol; it's not too far either to anciently great Granada and the Moorish Alhambra palace.
The Caves of Nerja are another popular and recommended stop in the region and are one of the most-visited spots in Spain: see if you can visit for one of the spectacular underground concerts held in a Nerja cave chamber.
