Off for a holiday on the Costa del Sol? Ditch the hotel and pick a pitch at the peaceful, welcoming Málaga Monte Parc instead. On the outskirts of Alhaurín de la Torre, it is half an hour's drive away from the centre of Málaga. Málaga Monte Parc has a reception, bar and a caféteria selling snacks such as pizzas, pies, pasties and freshly-made baguettes and croissants. For drinks, it has the likes of barrelled lager, bitter, dry stout, wine, gin, coffee, tea and soft drinks. The on-site supermarket also sells essentials such as milk, bread, pasta, sugar, cereals, biscuits and personal hygiene items. Don't forget about the swimming pool either, which has some stunning views. More peaceful times are available – just pick your spot for time gazing out at Los Jarapalos and Guadalhorce valley. Just 500 metres from the gates of the site, there is a handy bus service which will get you to the centre of Málaga within 40 to 50 minutes or Alhaurín De La Torre and Alhaurin el Grande within 15 minutes. Both local towns are a five-minute drive away. The nearest beach, La Carihuela, is 20 minutes' drive away. Tee off at the local golf club or go clay pigeon shooting at Club de Tiro Jarapalo, which are both within a couple of kilometres of the site. There is a zipwire and disc golf, archery or horse-riding activities at Sunview Park, 15 minutes' drive away. Amenities include roomy pitches with electric and water hook-ups, as well as shower blocks with hot water, changing space, mirrors and a large disabled-access space in each. The pool has a disabled lift, plenty of umbrellas and sun loungers and toilet facilities.

  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/04 and 01/11 (subject to weather conditions).
  • The grocery shop is open between 01/01 and 31/12.
  • Bookings must not be for more than 180 consecutive nights.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
  • The bar is open between 01/01 and 31/12.

  • This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.

Liked La tranquilidad en determinados momentos.

Disliked Baños en malas condiciones, poca intimidad y viejos.
Parcelas para autocaravanas con demasiado desnivel y ondonadas, sin ninguna sombra e incluso separacion escasa o exenta entre parcelas, nada de intimidad.
Perros sueltos y sin ningun control.
Horarios de recepción muy raros y falta de seguridad.

Liked Es la segunda vez que vamos y no será la ultima. Los baños están recientemente reformados. Me encantó el sistema de las duchas y los fregaderos que ahorran agua. Las parcelas son suficientemente amplias (pero asegúrate de dormir en la posición correcta porque hay un ligero desnivel no apreciable hasta que te acuestas) la zona de la piscina también está muy bien aunque cierra a las 20h y tenemos entendido que años anteriores cerraba a las 21h.
El personal es muy amable.
Este camping está muy bien para desconectar a solo 5 kilómetros en coche del pueblo más cercano y a 20 minutos de la capital.

Disliked La limpieza de baños se hace bien pero tarde. Un par de días fui a los baños alrededor de las 10 de la mañana y aún estaban las papeleras llenas y el papel higiénico agotado. Echamos en falta algo que entretenga a los niños diferente a la piscina (un lugar donde puedan jugar a la pelota, sin molestar a otros campistas, por ejemplo) Algunas zonas en la piscina están sin césped y parte del alambrado necesita reparación

Liked El entorno muy bonito

Disliked Para empezar, pedimos una parcela con sombra pero nos dijeron que estaban todas ocupadas cosa que no era verdad porque el domingo cuando nos fuimos había muchas vacías. Los baños un desastre creo que lo limpiaron una sola vez en el fin de semana.

From the manager: We are sorry that your experience on Malaga Monte Parc was ruined by this unacceptable behaviour. We have taken steps to ensure that this group of people are not allowed on the park in the future. We do have a contract with a security company and I will be discussing this incident with them. I have taken action and stopped these people from any further reservations on Malaga Monte Parc. Once again. Apologies for your bad experience.

Liked Really friendly helpful staff, gave info about buses and spoke English

The pitch was great, electric and water on pitch

Bathrooms clean.

Pool was lovely with sun loungers with cushions for them that are great as after a while without a cushion your bottom and back hurts (learnt from previous campsite sun loungers)

Disliked Washing up water could be bit warmer but not end of world.

To get from Malaga Centro to Malaga Monte and back, take the M-132 bus. The nearest bus stop to the site is ‘Venta Morales’, 500 metres from the entrance. The journey should take 50 minutes depending upon how many stops the bus makes.

To Málaga first, of course… Málaga Monte Parc's local town of Alhaurín de la Torre has regular buses and trains making the 26-kilometre journey to Málaga and its 15 beaches, nightlife, parks and 28 museums… and did you know that Málaga is one of the very oldest cities in all the world? Tis, so peel yourself off the beach and go and see what's what historywise too. Monte Parc's two local towns are within easy driving distance: Alhaurín de la Torre is five minutes away and Alhaurín el Grande under 10; both are packed with shops, bars and nightclubs along their ancient streets. If you want a beach day a bit closer to home than Málaga, try the big town of Torremolinos, also full of places to eat, drink and be most merry indeed. The site team also recommends the shopping, food, amusement arcades, bowling alley and go-karting of the Plaza Major; from here, get the train to Málaga or straight to Málaga airport. Away from the glitz, the Alhaurín de la Torre area is well known for its cycling trails, whether you want to hurl down slopes on a mountain bike or pedal along in a more leisurely way taking in the scenery of the Spanish countryside. Several cycle trails start just outside the site and there are bike shops in town to rent you your wheels.
