- Rural eco holidays region in peaceful rural Andalusia
- Nature parks, hiking routes, lakes and many sports activities nearby
- Near Seville, Cádiz, Málaga and the Route of the White Villages
Shaded by tall trees, hammocks dotted above, and colour everywhere… what a gorgeous site this is. (Sí, it's time to gaze dreamily upon the site pics...)
Near the Route of the White Villages as well as accessible to Seville, Cádiz, Córdoba and Málaga, the ace-looking Andalusian site of La Molina is a rural and eco friendly place, set in a protected canyon near a small river.
As should be evident from the site pics, Molina is in rural locale well away from heaving tourist resorts; it's also in a hikers' and bikers' haven, with fishing in the nearby Zahara-El Gastor Reservoir, and in a landscape filled with highly handsome cities and the traditional Andalusian villages across the Ruta de Los Pueblos Blancos. The famed houses of Setenil de las Bodegas are within easy reach: do go along to see them (they really rock).
La Molina's friendly owners speak English and German as well as Spanish and welcome guests from all over the world. They share the spacious site with a menagerie of critters the kids will be chuffed to meet when exploring the estate (cats, turtles and ducks for starters), and have added a good range of amenities and facilities including a toilet block with free (highly handsome) hot showers, a washing-up area and a communal outdoor kitchen area : again, do see the site pics...

Local attractions
This is lovely lovely land, set around the many white villages for which Andalusia is famed and with easy access to its well-known cities of Seville, Cádiz, Córdoba and Málaga as well as other day trip options to Jerez de la Frontera, Tarifa, Granada and Gibraltar.
La Molina is a short stroll from Setenil de las Bodegas, one of the white villages on the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos and highly famed for its houses carved into the rocky overhangs above the Trejo river.
El Gastor, Zahara de la Sierra, Olvera, Grazalema, Algodonales and Arriate are among the other pueblos blancos in the region, with dwellings built by the Moors and/or dating back to Phoenicians or Roman times.
Horse riding, hiking and fishing are all available nearby, as are more hair-raising adventures paragliding, climbing and ballooning, and Vias Verdes/Greenways cycling safely away from main and busy roads. If you fancy some beach basking, the sands of the Costa del Sol or the Costa de la Luz are just over an hour’s drive.
You could also take a boat trip out for some dolphin spotting; see Europe's biggest colony of griffin vultures at the 400-metre deep canyon Garganta Verde; wander the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, or delve into the Cueva del Hundidero-Gato and the Cueva de la Pileta, Andalusia's biggest cave system. Bodega tours are mighty popular too with tasteful folk looking to investigate the local wine.
The bars, restaurants, shops, museums and entertainment including flamenco shows of nearest town Ronda are within about 20 minutes' drive.
