Electric optional grass tent pitch

Electric optional grass tent pitch

Liked: The landscape is very nice, so is the mood. No mosquitoes.

Disliked: Outdoor showers that are very inconvenient for women as everyone is watching. Moreover the owner charged us for two tents when they are individual and take less total space than a big tent for a group of 10 people. Which means that we payed more than a group of ten people when we are two.

From the manager: Dear Johanny, thanks for your review. You are right about the shower, but if you read the description of our site you will see that the shower is exactly as described. We are also working on a proper closed shower as well as a toilet block and launderette. Lets explain the pitch situation again. You booked 1 tent pitch, by the lowest price. On this pitch you can have one tent. In that one tent 2 people are included in the price and up to 3 can be extras. That means anywhere from 1 to 5 people can stay in this one tent. You put up two tents. You should have either booked an extra tent or an extra tent pitch. You were simply given a bill for what you forgot to book and that even with a 10% discount. We wish for you all the best.

Electric optional grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: naturverbundenes Camp

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Mr. Herbert you are a LIAR! You put an extra tent and agreed on the first day that you will pay for it but you RAN away without paying a cent! All the other guests saw you! We have already reported you to Pitchup. We can't believe you even have the nerve to post this review! Yes, we allow one pup tent and one awning for free. But the tent you put up was a tent for sleeping in. Please pay the money that you own us!

Electric optional grass touring pitch (twin axle)

Liked: The hostess talked to English and had a friendly attitude

Disliked: I paid extra for electricity. My electric vehicle was not allowed to connect even after ensuring the supply was max 300W of power to run the cooler, so I had to throw away all the food. RIDICULOUS!! Especially after paying for the electricity service. The route to the campsite is impossible to navigate if you are careful with your car; this location is a challenge. The accommodation is very primitive. In my opinion, it offers no more value than parking at a gas station. or perhaps it’s better to use a gas station where you have a normal shower and normal toilet. I’m 2 meters tall, I was not able to close the door when going to the toilet, because it was way too small.. Please before booking if this is what you’re looking for ..

From the manager: Thank you for your comment. We are sorry you didn't have a good experience here. Possibly you forgot to read the description of our place. We are a camping farm. We offer peace and tranquility in nature. And yes, our facilities are basic - that is the whole point of wild camping! From our opinion you were charging your electric car. This is something our electrical system is not equipped to handle. You had electricity for one night and we reimbursed you for the second night. Also, we don't mind mindful motorbikers. However you were scaring the kids at the camp and our horses too. The height of the toilets is standard, unfortunately it does not take into account that some persons are taller. There are several routes to our place. Some are good, some are bad. If you don't read the instructions how to best reach us, your navigation will take you via A2's Exit Bič, which is a very narrow windy village road. Truly, sir, we wish you would have chosen to ask for a full reimbursement upon arrival and maybe spent these two nights at a gas station, as you say. We wish for you all the best.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch (mountain view, secluded)

Liked: Mooi uitzicht, veel dieren, kleinschalig (familiebedrijf), vriendelijke mensen

From the manager: Thank you for your comment. You booked one of the private spots with the mountain view. These are on a slope. Last year guest were asking for these spots to be more level. We were able to get them leveled by a machine, so all the spots can fit any vehicle and are completely level now. Since this was done this spring and they see frequent use in season the grass did not grow back yet completely over every one. Every guest has a different opinion, for example guest Cyril C. who stayed in the same spot for 8 days and extended for 2 days wrote the comment you can find below, dated 21.7.2024. Regarding animals, firstly, we appreciate guests asking about animals. If you don't ask, no problem, we can answer questions here, publicly. Most animals have proper enclosures and are free 24/7, year round. Those 4 that are not, either don't have an enclosure strong enough built yet, or keep escaping, or are male animals that are dangerous to old animals and female animals with babies. As for hooves, the one animal with long hooves needs specialist treatment. There is only one specialist hoof trimmer in the country, and she is coming back to work in the beginning of September. As for water, they get plenty of water, but we don't leave buckets out because they kick them over and can step on them and get injured. Thank you for your concern in any case. Regarding toilets, again, we are a camping farm not a hotel, so far we only have basic facilities - composting toilets (soon we will start work on proper toilet, shower and laundry facilities). At the time of your stay there were a lot of individual guests, plus two scouts groups which you probably noticed. The toilets are cleaned 3 times per day, but we can't control if guest follow the instruction to flush with the white powder. The white powder is a mix of lime and sodium bicarbonate and it absorbs the smell. Hope this answers your concerns, we wish for you all the best!

Liked: Schöner Ort, nette Gastgeber, ruhig, idylisch. Wenig komfort (Hartendusche, Komposttiertoilette). Sehr abseits gelesen. Gerne wieder.

Route directions

If arriving via the A2 highway, it is best to avoid taking the exit for Bič – this is often suggested by satnavs but it has some extremely narrow sections and a low underpass so is not suitable for anyone driving anything larger than a car. Instead, take the exit for either Trebnje-Zahod (travelling via Novo Mesto) or Ivančna Gorica (via Ljubljana) as these are more suitable roads for large vehicles. By public transport, take the train to Litija and then take a bus towards Gabrovka (five times daily, Monday-Friday). Disembark at the bus stop in Moravče – from there it's a hike of 4 km (or pick-up can be arranged if requested in advance).

Local attractions

Wolves, camels and kangaroos are among the residents at Zoo Park Ranč Aladin (25 minutes’ drive). Children can take part in get-to-know sessions with their animal of choice, have a go at archery or expend some energy in the playground, with climbing frames and swings. Among the great hikes in the area is the Steklas Trail (35 minutes), which you can follow all the way up to the top of Nebesa (a 600-metre mountain covered in forest). Your efforts will be rewarded with views across sloping vineyards, the Mirna Valley and the peaks of southern Slovenia. Anchored by the massive Tivoli Park (and the wooded slopes of Roznik Hill beyond), and dominated by a hilltop medieval castle, Ljubljana (55 minutes) is a lively university city. The large pedestrianised centre is dotted with cafés, restaurants and bars, and museums include the popular House of Illusions.
