Whether you’re into cycling, watersports or just loafing on a lake shore, chances are you can indulge in a spot of what you fancy at Jantina Hoeve, a family- and dog-friendly site on the outskirts of Ouwsterhaule village, a five-minute drive from the town of Joure, in the south-western corner of the Dutch province of Friesland. The big attraction here is Tjeukemeer lake (a half-hour walk away, or five minutes’ drive, if you’re travelling with heavy watersports gear), where you can relax and swim at beaches like De Ulesprong, with its grassy and decked areas, or have a go at paddleboarding or canoeing. Meanwhile, keen anglers can head for the Scharsterrijn, a wide canal with excellent fishing spots. Alongside the canal, a flat cycling path takes you to Langwarder Wielen, a popular lake for sailing. And, of course, there are plenty of cycling or hiking paths in this area of reclaimed peatlands. Walkers can visit Haulsterbossen, 35 minutes' walk away. Alternatively, you can drive to nature reserves such as De Deelen (25 minutes), its wetlands a birdwatcher’s paradise, with geese, herons and marsh harriers flying overhead, or De Weerribben-Wieden National Park (40 minutes), a boggy landscape with wild orchids, butterflies and otters. Back at the site after a day of exploring the Frisian countryside and its watery attractions, you can freshen up with a hot-water shower or learn about the local area in the reading room while the kids run around the site or play on the swings. In addition to a fridge, there's also a laundry area with a washing machine and a tumble dryer (please note: these appliances can be used on request).

Liked Toller einfacher unscheinbarer Campingplatz, versteckt, alles jederzeit sehr sauber und organisiert. Geeignet für Einzelreisende, Paare und Familien, die sich selbst beschäftigen können und auch wollen.
Privater Campingplatzbetreiber nebst Ehefrau im Rentenalter -haben diesen Platz sehr in Ordung, immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht und immer für die Gäste da.
Alles ist einfach gehalten, aber in Schuss. Man fühlt sich dort gut aufgehoben. Ein sehr ruhiger Platz für Urlauber mit Caravan, Wohnmobil, Dachzelte oder einfache Zelte. Die Zugfahrzeuge der Wohnwagen werden vor dem Platz auf dem Privatgelände der Betreiber sicher abgestellt, damit in dem Campingbereich nicht so eine Unruhe auftreten kann und kleine Kinder ungestört spielen können. Ca. 4 Kilometer entfernt kann man alles zum Einkaufen besorgen, was man benötigt. Gern Fahrräder mitbringen.

Disliked Die Dusche bei den Herren links könnte einen neuen Duschkopf vertragen und der Wasserdruck könnte etwas höher sein und in der Hütte bei der Entsorgung von Toilettencassetten könnte eine neue Spritze vertragen . Das Spülbecken rechts sollte besser befestigt werden
