Small, friendly and eco-focused, Hof van Hulsen makes a lovely little spot for a stay in the Overijssel area. This is the place for you if you like to settle down at a site that’s full of trees and flowers and has lots of wildlife to spot – from the birds in the trees to the smaller residents of the bug hotel. Native flowers and plants are all around the pitches, and part of the site has been dedicated to an orchard full of fruit trees, where guests are welcome to pick apples, pears, plums and cherries during the summer. With hedging separating the pitches, an adults-only rule and no amplified music allowed, there’s a real sense of peace here. To keep the traditional camping vibe, shared facilities include picnic tables, a firepit area, a playing field and a common room for a bit of shelter on damp days. Smart modern bathrooms are provided too, along with two covered washing-up sinks. In a bid to minimise the site’s environmental footprint, you’ll be asked to sort your waste to help with recycling. Keen to see more of the area? You can rent bikes on site, or set off for a walk along the Pieterpad, which passes close by. The Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park is close by for more walks and bike rides, and you can take a nice stroll around Nijverdal or Hellendoorn – both villages are about 10 minutes away by bike, making them handy places for food supplies as well.

Liked De rust, de ruime kampeerplekken, goed sanitair, fijne service, gelegenheid om koffie/thee etc. te pakken + oven, de locatie (dichtbij het park Sallandse Heuvelrug en dorpjes), huren van fietsen.

Disliked Sanitair was super, heel schoon en luxe! Op den duur zou meer dan 1 wc en 1 douche wel fijn zijn (vooral als er wat groepjes mensen ook zijn).

Liked Het sanitair zag er mooi uit.

Disliked Ik vond 1 douche en 1 toilet erg weinig voor een camping met 8 plaatsen. Ik miste een wascabine. Het was nu of douchen of jezelf wassen in het openbaar. Dus met dit warme weer werd het 2x douchen op een dag. Zonde van het water.
De drukke weg direct langs de camping.

Liked Everything, very friendly, lovely facilities, beautiful site.

Disliked Weather was a bit hot but that's not their fault. There were areas with shade to relax in.
