Take them in as you ramble or pedal your way along the trails that wend their way through the gorgeous countryside around Camping Um Bierg, or plonk down right there to gaze out over them with minimal effort from your super spot on the terraced hillside. Nippers not sharing your enthusiasm for staring at the scenery? No problem – there’s plenty to interest them too. Charging about at the playground, bounding on the trampoline or playing games of volleyball or football can all be followed by a session in the pool to cool off. Parents tasked with overseeing the fun proceedings will no doubt be chuffed to hear that they can most likely do so from the comfort of the restaurant terrace, which overlooks the pool. Amble over here at any time of day to select from the menu of main meals (using veg from the site's own organic garden), snacks, hot drinks and cakes, or pull up a chair in the cosy bar area to wind down from the day’s antics. The fine folk here will also happily provide you with fresh bread for morning eats, and organise regular sociable table d’hôte dinners where you can natter with your neighbours over a seasonal dinner and maybe a drink or few. There's also wifi on the site, but the reception is poor due to the amplifiers and the site's location on the land border of Belgium and Luxembourg. The strongest connection is in the restaurant (the site rates it reasonable to good).

  • No charcoal barbecues allowed.
  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
  • The pool is filled with spring water, which will be colder in temperature than you may expect.

Disliked Sanitair, oud, versleten, oogt vies, doucheruimte is verschrikkelijk, zonder plankje voor attributen. Toilet recht voor de deur derhalve geen/weinig privacy.

bedankt voor jullie review en de tijd die jullie hebben genomen om jullie ervaringen met ons te delen. Hier leren wij altijd van. Wat fijn om te horen dat de flexibiliteit en de ruimte van onze kampeerplaatsen in de smaak zijn gevallen. In het hoogseizoen is het vaak erg druk. We waren dan ook blij dat we jullie, ondanks de zeer korte boekingstermijn van één dag van tevoren, toch nog een mooi en ruim plekje hebben kunnen aanbieden waarbij jullie de caravan naar eigen wens hadden kunnen positioneren voor de nodige privacy te creëren.
Wat betreft het sanitair hebben jullie gelijk dat het gebouw verouderd is; dat communiceren wij ook open naar onze gasten. Wel doen we er alles aan om het in topconditie te houden. Versleten onderdelen worden direct vervangen of verbeterd. Onze douches worden doorgaans juist erg gewaardeerd om hun hoge waterdruk en het feit dat er geen muntjes nodig zijn.
Hygiëne staat bij ons voorop, en het sanitair wordt dan ook minimaal twee tot drie keer per dag grondig gepoetst. Het spijt ons dat dit bij jullie anders is overgekomen. Jullie tip over het extra plankje op kraanhoogte voor doucheattributen voor de douches in het bovengebouw nemen we zeker mee; dit is een eenvoudige verbetering.
Wij doen dit nog maar het vierde seizoen, investeren jaarlijks in de camping. De verschillen van 2022 tot en met nu zijn behoorlijk groot en kosten allemaal centen. Voor jullie die voor de eerste keer een bezoek brengen aan onze camping, is het normaal dat dit jullie nog niet is opgevallen.
Nogmaals dank voor jullie feedback en we wensen jullie nog fijne kampeerreizen toe.

Liked Loved everything about it. The best shower I’ve had on a campsite. Staff were amazing. Lovely walks. Great views. Food in the restaurant was delicious and ate there both nights. Had the salmon and the mussels.

Liked Lovely clean, well-maintained, peaceful campsite - great for families and couples alike. Lovely countryside setting with plenty of walks/bridle paths right out of the campsite. There were two play areas and a lovely little pool. Showers and loos were clean and there was plenty of hot water. The bar/restaurant area was lovely, with a reasonable selection of food on offer. The staff were very friendly and informative.

Disliked WiFi only really worked in the bar area and although we payed for electricity we didn’t get any as someone else was plugged into our socket and there were no others close enough. We mentioned this and were told to unplug the other plug from the socket but it still didn’t work when we plugged it in.

Bij deze hebben we wel extra parking gecreërd en sinds de dag dat jullie de recensie hebben gemaakt, hebben we nu altijd het voetbalveld vrij.

Local attractions

Bring your bike or your boots – the scenery of the Upper Sûre Natural Park is bound to entice you out to cover many miles on its network of trails. Make it as far as the vast Upper Sûre lake eight kilometres away and you can reward your efforts with a swim or a spot of canoeing, sailing or windsurfing. A 20-minute drive away in Wiltz there’s a handsome castle and several museums dedicated to the events of World War II. Those fond of a decent tipple may also like to check out the National Brewery Museum and microbrewery, in the castle’s old stable block. If you’re interested in learning more about the war and the role this area played, nip over the Belgian border to Bastogne (20 minutes’ drive) for visits to the Bastogne War Museum and the 101st Airborne Museum.
