A short stroll from the sea and its own private beach, Camping Village Miramare’s coastal locale has it sorted for watery, outdoorsy and cultural days out: an hour’s drive will bring you to Venice and the palace-lined Riviera del Brenta… and surfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and kitesurfing lessons are available around the waters nearby. This place has been expertly run by the Boscolo family for more than four decades, and as such has a smashing range of leisure facilities for all ages to hand: there’s a big outdoor seasonal pool with a diving board for launching from, plus a smaller pool for kids to splash and paddle in. Plenty of out-of-the-water options are available to keep kids and grownups well occupied too, including a well-appointed leisure area with a playground, ping pong tables, a pétanque pitch, a multisports court and a beach volleyball court. During the summer season, the Miramare team also organises regular family entertainment events and activities to amply fill the hours. The site has wifi coverage. When you’re ready for food, relax with a few drinks and dinner over at the on-site bar-restaurant and pizzeria, or to keep things cheaper you can pick up bits for the barbecue at Miramare’s mini market. Swim toys, souvenirs and other bits and bobs are for sale at the site bazaar. For eats off site, head over to Chioggia or the fishing town of Sottomarina, famed for its many restaurants.

This is a large, well-maintained campsite with a fantastic location near the beach. Visitors praised the exceptional cleanliness of the modern sanitary facilities, the helpful and friendly staff, and the excellent swimming pool. Pitches are generally spacious and offer shade. While many had a superb experience, some mentioned issues with noise from neighbouring pitches or late-night entertainment, and a notable number of mosquitoes were reported during peak season. Liked Not usually a fan of large busy campsites but this one was really lovely. Spacious pitches, great facilities and very clean. The food in the restaurant was really good. Pool looked lovely although we didn’t get a chance to use it. But the best bit was the beach, private access and a while dog friendly area. Lovely clean sand and sea. We went into nearby Chioggia which is called Little Venice. Well worth a visit.

Disliked On site shop was a little basic, may have been because we were near the end of season. But not a problem as we walked into town to a supermarket.

Liked Der Platz ist sauber und gepflegt, die sanitären Anlagen sehr gut und modern.
Der Zugang zum Meer, je nach Stellplatzlage mehr oder weniger weit entfernt aber in 10 Gehminuten erreicht man den Strand locker. Dieser hat feinen Sand, das Wasser fällt ganz langsam ab, man kann sehr weit hineingehen bevor es tief wird. Optimal für kleine Kinder. Auf diesem Platz wird viel für Hundeliebhaber getan. Es gibt reichlich Papierkörbe, Kotbeutel, eine große Hundewiese und eine Hundedusche, der Hundestrand ist sehr sauber und nicht vom Rest des Strandabschnittes zu unterscheiden. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Disliked Der Campingplatz wird von einer Straße geteilt, es ist unentwegt Verkehr. Nur in wenigen Nachtstunden ist es leise, am Tag gleicht die Straße einer Autobahn.
Die Leistung des Stromanschlusses ist mit 6 A nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Leider war WLAN nicht verfügbar.

You can stroll directly from the site to the sea and Miramare’s private beach, and the nearby tourist info centre will give you plenty of ideas for what else you can see and do around the local area. For starters, take to the waters nearby for active days of surfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and kitesurfing, with lessons available to help less experienced adventurers level up. Plump for a culture trip to the famed watery streets of Venice for gondola rides through the palace-lined Grand Canal thoroughfare – it’s about an hour away by car, or you can take a ferry if you’re planning a holiday without having to rely on four wheels. Vicenza, Padua, Treviso and the palace-lined Riviera del Brenta are all around 70 minutes’ drive away (or less) too. For more sightseeing around the local area, catch an island-hopping boat tour to see the cheerfully painted houses of Burano – known for its lacemaking and embroidery heritage; the world-famed glass factories of Murano, and Torcello’s many ancient monuments.
