Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Late in season, very private and quiet campsite. Very good facilitites with free hot water and friendly staff! On site restaurant is also excellent and a bonus!

Disliked: Be mindful if travelling with dogs, as there were a number of on-site dogs present.

Liked: The site is probably attractive in the summer and would probably be a good location for kite surfers.

Disliked: The whole site needs investment. The ground is waterlogged, power stanchions lie on the ground in the water, the shower/toilet block is dirty, with very few facilities actually working. Showers do not have taps, dirty old curtains hang loosely off broken rails, there is nowhere to put soap/shampoos etc in the cubicles, walls are crumbling, toilets do not flush, there are insufficient hooks and no benches/chairs so nowhere to put anything down. A pack of dogs roam freely on the site and on leaving after just one night (we could not have stayed any longer) we discovered our dog had been bitten on his neck. It cost us €100 for a veterinarian and medicines. And to add insult to injury we paid €20 for the one night, despite already having paid €26 as a deposit. Unless this site is upgraded significantly we would not recommend it.

Local attractions

Unless you agree on a designated driver, it would be wise to catch a taxi to Marsala (20 minutes’ drive), where you can tour historic cellars and taste the renowned fortified wine. The city is also known for the Parco Archeologico di Lilibeo, which comprises the ruins of a Carthaginian city with well-preserved mosaics and a museum housing restored Roman and Carthaginian ships. Overlooking the sea, Selinunte Archaeological Park (45 minutes) covers the ruins of an ancient Greek settlement. After checking out the multiple temples and the necropolis, take a rest and go for a dip at the sandy beach. The salt pans around the city of Trapani (50 minutes) are well worth a look, not least for the birdlife they attract, which includes flamingos and herons. From Trapani, you can also catch a ferry to the island of Favignana, where you can spend the day exploring sheltered coves and rocky beaches.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 6 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet (afternoon) hours must be respected between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m..
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Pitches

Minimum spacing of 2 metres between pitches.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 01/09 - 14/06 and 01/09 - 14/06.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No vehicle movement between 12 a.m. and 6:30 a.m..
