Planning to float around Lombardy's green hills, vineyards and historic cities? You’ll surely want a base that’s well-positioned for all three. That's Lago Venere, a quiet touring site 15 minutes’ drive from San Colombano al Lambro (ticking off hills and vineyards, plus a castle). Five kilometres after leaving the A1 highway between Milan and Bologna (at the Casalpusterlengo exit), you’ll be at this green setting. Strategically, it's a really good spot to be in, with the nearest supermarket five minutes' drive away, and more cities within a short drive: Lodi at 20 minutes, Piacenza at 35, Pavia at 40 and Milan at 45 minutes. It’s also rather relaxing, with plenty of greenery around, dogs welcome to join you and two small lakes for you to use (one for sport fishing). Sorting out your food and drink is an on-site bar, pizzeria and restaurant, with a menu of local dishes (including several delicious seafood variations), aperitifs, breakfasts and dinners. The pitches at Lago Venere all have electric and toilet drainage, and access to shared facilities including a picnic area with barbecue facilities, hot showers, bathrooms, a water point for filling tanks, a launderette and wifi. Having so many amenities on site means you should have plenty of time on your hands to get to know this scenic, sloping part of northern Italy. Local and cycling trails are in plentiful supply; recommendations from the site include the San Colombano-Monteleone-Miradolo route and the San Colombano al Lambro trail past vineyards and old churches. The site’s actually on the edge of Livraga, where there’s a church, a small shop and places to eat within walking distance of the site. Further on, around three minutes’ drive away, is a museum about local rural life and labour (Museo Del Lavoro Povero).

Liked Wir waren bereits zweimal dort und haben gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Für einen Zwischenstopp auf der Reise ist es ideal: Ganz in der Nähe der Autobahn, klein, einfach, sauber, freundlicher Empfang. Es gibt eine kleine Pizzeria direkt vor Ort, die ausgezeichnete Pizzen serviert und leckeres, hausgemachtes Tiramisu.

Disliked Man hört die Autobahn, aber damit muss man rechnen, wenn man etwas in der Nähe der Autobahn sucht.

From the manager: Signor Robert Jean Claude Magny , innanzitutto ci metta la faccia se vuole infangare il lavoro altrui, piazzola da 100 m. e 16 A di corrente per una cifra irrisoria in Lombardia a 30 km da MI... e a 4 dalk' autostrada.Lei deliberatamente non ha usufruito di alcun servizio a pagamento a differenza di altri 11 camper che hanno molto apprezzato nella stessa data del 22 Agosto luogo, cibo e pulizia.Vada pure altrove qui non entrera' più di certo, ma glielo assicuro io!
