Immerse yourselves in the rural lifestyle of Liguria with a stay at Agricamping Lo Zafferano – pitches here are part of a family-run farm that specialises in maintaining and rediscovering traditional and forgotten varieties of fruit and veg from the area. You may well spot various unusual crops as you stroll around the site, where you’ll also encounter an olive grove and meet the resident horses. Kids can learn a little bit about the growing process at the educational farm, and everyone can have a go at riding through the local landscapes from a ranch a couple of kilometres away (have a chat with the team on site to put you in touch if you’re interested). The quiet atmosphere here is very much one of rural seclusion, but in fact the farm is well located for town amenities and days out too – a bus stop and grocery store are 500 metres away (and you can often buy local products like honey, oil, eggs and wine at the farm too). The historic centre of Albenga is about five minutes’ drive away and it’s a similar distance to the closest beaches as well. Pitches at this site are spacious and welcoming to all sorts of guests, including families and those travelling with dogs. Facilities include a playground, a communal outdoor cooking and dining area and wifi across the site, and you can hire bikes here too.

Disliked Pas un camping , j’appellerai cela une aire, mais surtout pas un camping .
La photo avec transat est inexistante, des tables et bancs inutilisables, tellement dégradés .
En lisant , nous somme censés avoir eau et évacuation sur emplacement , enfin mal interprété sur la présentation de ce lieu .

2 douches ( très rudimentaires),pas fonctionnelles et propreté douteuse …
Quasi, à part la personne qui reçoit, aucun interlocuteur ….
Aucune visibilité de ce pseudo camping sur les panneaux de la ville, et aucune indication à l’entrée qui stipule un terrain pour l’accueil des camping car ou de caravane.
Deux tableaux avec des affiches complètement défraîchi, uniquement en italien, l’endroit est censé recevoir toutes nationalités, alors au moins italien / anglais/francais …..
Les prestations ( endroit pour vider k7 et rudimentaire, les tuyaux pour remplissage en eau à même le sol et très sale ), ce qui ne vous donne pas envie d’utiliser ce genre d’accessoires .
Alors rectifier l’appellation de cet endroit qui n’est autre qu’un terrain d’accueil en pleine nature chez l’habitant ( une petite douzaine de places ), au milieu de serres et aucune commodité. Jamais.
Plus jamais dans cet endroit ….
Il serait bien qu’avant d’envoyer des clients, que vous ayez un visuel réel et physique .
Important:
38€ la nuit avec en plus 3€ taxe, c’est inadmissible.
Si nous n’avions pas payé d’avance , nous serions repartis immédiatement.

From the manager: Lo Zafferano non e' ne un capeggio ne un'area di sosta ma un agricamping in una azienda agricola che per legge non puo' avere piu' di 15 piazzole.
I lettini che erano a disposizione degli ospiti abbiamo dovuto toglierli perche alcuni maleducati li hanno rotti.
Nella descrizione non c'e' scritto che le piazzole hanno il carico e scarico, Quello e' centralizzato in una zona dell'azienda. Comunque il carico dell'acqua potabile puo' essere fatto direttamente nella piazzola.
I bagni hanno 10 anni infatti nel prossimo inverno verranno rifatti nuovi e piu' grandi, la pulizia viene fatta comunque 2 volte al giorno.,
Nella bakeka informazioni tutto e' scritto in italiano e inglese e nessun cartello e' sbiadito.
Il titolare e' sempre a disposizione per informazioni, basta chiedere usando il citofono.
Se non si e' soddisfatti basta dirlo e sareste stati rimborsati subito e liberi di andare altrove.

Disliked unfortunately for €35 per night you would expect more than 1 mens toilet and shower and 1 womens toilet and shower, while we were there there were 13 other people all trying to use the same facilities, its not good enough

Liked Warm welcome. Helpful advice for getting into town. ( and our onward travels) Lent us bikes. Lovely simple site. Local town was a real treat. Old walled narrow streets. Live music on every corner.

Local attractions

This area is a wonderful place to explore on foot or by bike – there are several scenic hiking trails nearby, including the Via Julia Augusta, and places where you can find some challenging mountain bike descents. Nearby Pennavaire Valley (10 minutes’ drive) and Castelbianco (15 minutes) are well known as free climbing destinations, and you can get underground at the three caves of Grotte di Toirano (15 minutes). For more of a gentle stroll, set off instead to Albenga (five minutes) to explore its historic centre, including a Romanesque cathedral, a collection of medieval towers and a whole lot of streets and plazas to wander around. There are also some good museums here, including a naval museum that houses the remains of a 1st-century ship. If you’re after a beach day, you could settle on the pebbly beach in Albenga or travel south to Alassio (10 minutes) for a longer stretch of sand. Aquatic Park Le Caravelle (five minutes) is another option for a swim, with lots of waterslides to scream down as well.
