General

  • 6.5 kilometres from the Colosseum, the Vatican and Rome's city centre
  • Easy access to Colle Palatino and Ostia Antica
  • Outdoor pool, restaurant and terrace pool bar open until 2am

When in Rome, stay at Camping Village Roma...? Because apart from splendid facilities such as a big outdoor pool and hydromassage, a restaurant and a poolside bar terrace that's open until 2am, this is the closest accommodation of its kind to Rome's historic centre.

It's a young and lively environment here, with staff happy to help and to recommend local tours and attractions. Exploring is made mighty easy too by the site's handy shuttle service, running pretty much hourly in each direction throughout the day; you can be at Rome's Cipro metro station, around six kilometres away, in 20 minutes or so.

On site, cool off in the pool and follow up with a couple of well-earned cold ones at Ciao Bella pool bar. The restaurant serves up eats like salad, pizza and pasta (natch), and you can get breakfast there to set yourself up for your days of Rome sightseeing. The local supermarket just across the road (accessed via a footbridge) is stocked with piles of fab produce and an excellent butcher's counter. If you want to eat off site but don't want to wander too far, there's a fast food place and a restaurant here too.

Other leisure facilities include a playground area and ping pong and pool tables. Free wifi is available in the communal areas.

Camping Village Roma also has a launderette and a bureau de change.

Please note

Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/05 and 31/10 (subject to weather conditions).

Dogs are not allowed in the accommodation units.

Clean and friendly 28/09/2018

Loved Roxanna who worked at the pool bar, super friendly and informative about things to see in Roma and where to visit it was great to have someone really interested in our trip and willing to share some great tips.

The campsites were a great size and the bathrooms were very clean (would be great if you cleaned the shower heads though)

    Disliked:

The pool hours- we would have loved a late night swim for adults after 7pm especially after a long day or touring around in the sun.

The shuttle service- it was really unclear where the shuttle picked us up and dropped us off, the map says next to the pool but we always caught it at the bottom of the hill on the road and returning we were never clear on where to get it from (just needed and exact address and no one could give it to me)

Lively site with excellent facilities 21/09/2018

The facilities. Good pool, efficient staff, washrooms, laundry, restaurant, tours, free WiFi. Very professional feel.
Also only 30 mins from centre of Rome via bus/metro

    Disliked:

Noisy. There are lots of young people on this site and so there’s a good deal of late night partying. It’s also close to a busy road.
Location. The area it’s in is run down. But you only go onto the road outside the campsite to get the bus, or over the road to the supermarket, so it’s not a big deal.

Easy access to City, good clean facilities, minibus in to Vatican, the pool was welcome at the end of the day.

    Disliked:

Noisy, lots of youngsters, constant music. No onsite shop, big supermarket short walk, but once outside the park, the area is disgustingly filthy.
