Just about 10 minutes’ drive from both the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Med beaches in the thoroughly modern seaside resort of Paestum, Agropark is a peaceful Campania rest-up for families, friends and couples (and their dogs). With spacious and well-maintained grass pitches demarcated by trees and greenery, it’s a leafy haven with electric hook-ups available for all. Get yourself set up here for access to hot showers and toilets (separate for men and women), a washing-up sink and common areas with a barbecue, picnic tables and seating. Gazebos are available for shade from the summer sun. When you’re not off busily exploring ancient ruins or soaking up the sun by the sea, you can swim in the site’s outdoor pool, exercise your dog around the grounds and borrow bikes to explore the Campania countryside. There’s a vending machine for cold drinks and a coffeemaker on site too, and if you’re in need of supplies, there are shops and supermarkets in the centre of Capaccio-Paestum (five minutes’ walk), as well as pizzerias, cafés and wine bars.

Liked Die Parzellen waren sehr groß, Strom und Wasser in der Nähe und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Disliked Die Sanitäranlagen waren in einem sehr schlechten Zustand und waren eigentlich unzumutbar. Das Poolwasser wirkte wenig gepflegt, sodass wir es nicht benutzt haben

Emplacement ombragés sur herbe.
Sanitaires et douche sans prétentions mais à disposition.

Disliked Accès piscine impossible car privatisation. Nous aurions aimé juste nous rafraîchir…. du coup un peu cher pour la prestation.

Liked Les places sont ombragées et vraiment trés grandes et sur pelouse svp ! Les gérants sont super sympas et très conciliants. La piscine est gratuite pour les enfants et 5€ sera demandé au adultes pour la totalité du séjour. Le jeudi un grand marché se trouve à 100m du camping où vous trouverez tout le textile que vous avez besoin à des prix défiant toute concurrence. Les douches et wc sont top et gratuit pas comme certaines aires de camping car . Bref à 25€ la nuit tout compris franchement foncez les yeux fermés.

Local attractions

First stop on your Campania adventures will probably be the Archaeological Park of Paestum (10 minutes’ drive) and its spectacular colonnaded ancient Greek temples. You can also walk through the forum, explore the amphitheatre and visit the museum displaying archaeological artefacts found at the park. If you’re keen to visit Pompeii or Herculaneum as well, they are both about an hour’s drive away and easily doable in a day. There’s a sandy strip of beach at Paestum (10 minutes) with lots of lidos offering sun loungers and cocktail bars. Those of you keen to taste some regional specialities can sample locally made mozzarella cheese at Caseificio Antica Giara (25 minutes), or tour the vineyard at Il Colle del Corsicano Winery (40 minutes) before choosing your favourite Cilento wines to buy and take home as souvenirs.
