Clean showers and toilets with plenty of hot water. Large washing up area again with plenty of hot water.
The owners sent messages even before we got there explaining best route.
Only an hours walk into Pompei.
This site was a total breath of fresh air to others we stayed at in Italy.

Liked We loved this campsite! Owners are very welcoming and extremely helpful. Facilities are clean and great hot showers. Good WIFI. Tremendous views. We booked on an extra night.

Liked Magnifique camping, très bien entretenu, avec tous les équipements nécessaires y compris pour campeurs en tente, avec vue sur le Vésuve et nombreux emplacements avec végétation. Proche de gare vers Naples et Soronto, et des sites touristiques Pompéi et Herculanum. Hôte très attentif et avec communication très efficace. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Liked Emplacement libre donc spacieux, peu de monde à cette période. Sanitaires propres, super endroit pour un court séjour au camping

Disliked La route d'accès est compliquée par certaines routes, avec des difficultés à se croiser. Ce n'est pas de la faute du camping mais c'est a noter pour des gros véhicules ou caravanes.

Local attractions

The Archaeological Park of Pompeii is known for the colourful frescoes of the Villa dei Misteri, the well-preserved mosaics of the House of the Faun and assorted temples. The vast site, which was buried by lava and burning ash spewing out of Vesuvius in 79 AD, also includes the Antiquarium Museum, displaying artefacts unearthed at the site. Built in the late 19th century, the vast Santuario della Beata Vergine Maria del Santo Rosario di Pompei (five minutes’ drive) can hold more than 2,000 people in its richly decorated interior dominated by a gilded organ. Exhibits in the Diocesan Museum include votive offerings. If you fancy a hike (or if you want to see up close what led to the destruction of Pompeii), Vesuvio National Park (25 minutes) has a network of trails, including one crossing the ominously named Valley of Hell. Keep your eyes peeled for foxes and bats, plus peregrine falcons and marsh harriers.
