Time for a bit of lakeside relaxation? Set off for Somogy county and a stay at Siócamping – as well as being only 150 metres from the shores of Lake Balaton, this attractive site also has a fishing lake on site.  The attractions of Lake Balaton, about an hour’s drive from Budapest, are well known, and a stay at this site will put you in prime position to enjoy many of them. On the southern shore 10 minutes’ drive from the town of Siófok, it’s only a couple of minutes’ walk from a free lake beach area and close to plenty of activities including cycling, hiking and watersports. Museums, castles, zoos and other family-friendly attractions are close by as well – you’re very unlikely to run out of things to do in this area. As for the site itself, it’s a laidback kind of place where families, dogs, groups, couples and solo travellers are all equally welcome. Facilities have been kept on the simple side, but you’ll have access to most of the essentials including wifi, toilets, showers, a shared fridge and a chemical disposal point. Barbecues and campfires are both permitted for that full alfresco evening experience; pick up all the bits you need over at the shops in Siófok. The town also has plenty of places to eat, and there are cafés, restaurants and bars at various spots along the lakeshore between the site and the town.

Liked Terrein was goed , en dichtbij het meer met veel voorzieningen.

Disliked Sanitair was hopeloos , dramatisch.
Douches geen fatsoenlijke afwatering , water kiep naar buiten. Geen mogelijkheden om kleren op te hangen , natte vloer ed. Meerdere afwasbasins zijn niet aanwezig eer is er maar 1. Prijs / kwaliteitsverhouding onder nul. Afgezien van de vele vliegende muggen een slechte schoonmaak .

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch

Liked Stellplatz im Schatten, saubere Duschen und Toiletten, sehr nettes Personal, großes Gelände mit unzähligen Stellplätzen, Bungalows, Aparments etc. neben dem Sósto mit der Möglichkeit direkt am Campingplatz zu angeln

2 Minuten Gehweg von einem Strand mit Wasserparkour (Strand kostet Eintritt + Wasserparkour 14€)
Gute Busverbindung direkt vom Campingplatz zum Petöfi-Sétány, wo man unzählige Bars, Clubs, Restaurants, Eisdielen, Souvenierläden etc. vorfindet
Dort kann man ebenfalls schön an der Strandpromenade (am „Hello Siófok“ Sign und der Siófok Schaukel Fotospot) entlang spazieren

All in all eine 10/10 Positive Erfahrung
Perfekt für Familien, Jugendliche Freundesgruppen oder wie bei uns Pärchen

Disliked Wir haben über Pitchup eine Vorauszahlung geleistet, mussten vor Ort dann noch den Rest bezahlen alles gut alles kein Problem

Jedoch gibt es eine Fremden- bzw. Bettensteuer die man ebenfalls bezahlen muss, von der weder was auf der Internetseite, auf Pitchup noch vor Ort gesagt wurde.

Das also bitte beachten.

Disliked Sauberkeit der Waschküche. Lag nach 3 Tagen immer noch der selbe verdreckte Schmutz rum. Bei Abreise habe ich dies angesprochen. Nahegelegene Strandzugang kostet bis 17:30 Uhr extra

There are direct trains from Budapest Déli Railway Station to Szabadisóstó Railway Station. There are also direct buses from Budapest Népliget Bus Station to Siófok; from Siófok city centre, take local bus line 2 to the site and get off at the Siófok (Sóstó), Kemping stop, which is near to the site.

There are so many ways to enjoy your lakeside location – perhaps you’d just like to wander along to Sóstó Beach (three minutes’ walk) to sunbathe and take in the views, or maybe you’d like to bound across the floating assault course at Bebo Aquapark (10 minutes’ drive). For more activity, head to Bamboo Sziget Vízisí Wakeboard (five minutes), where you can try waterskiing and wakeboarding. Staying dry for a while, there are high ropes courses at Zamárdi Adventure Park (20 minutes) and peaceful strolls at Töreki Lakes Nature Trail (15 minutes), a nine-kilometre route through the wetland area with information boards showcasing the area’s wildlife. To see some of the scenery from far above, head to Janus Xantos Lookout (half an hour) to climb 165 metres up to the sphere at the top for fabulous lake views. More days to fill? How about animal encounters at Bella Zoo Park (10 minutes), a ride on the Balatonfenyvesi narrow-gauge railway (40 minutes) or a pretty and fragrant wander around Lavender Kőröshegyi (25 minutes)?
