What a stunningly gorgeous place this is. (And properly historic too: Xeni Camping and Bungalows is just along the coast from Tolo, written about by one Homer in one Iliad.)
This spectacular site in the Argolis department of the Peloponnese region is surrounded by orange, tangerine and olive groves, and within easy reach of golden sandy beaches including Kastraki and Plaka. Ancient sites such as Assini and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mycenae are within easy reach too: you'll very much want to wander around these parts for weeks...
But perhaps – and also sensibly – you've come for pampering instead? Easily sorted, as Xeni looks after its guests to the extent of adding beauty, massage and Reiki treatments for serenity seekers to book, or you can contort yourself gracefully (or not) at one of the resort's yoga sessions. There are agritourism workshops for you to ponder too, but if you're really champing at the bit for activity you can sort hiking, biking or diving excursions from the site.
Other splendid options at this mega friendly place include evenings at the traditional Greek taverna, for organic local Mediterranean specialities and entertainment such as Greek dance lessons and culinary events. Or you could go fishing, get competitive in the games room or strut your stuff in the fitness room – while the juniors are occupied at the kids' activities and workshops: huzzah.

Local attractions
The beaches of Kastraki, Tolo and Plaka are all within a couple of kilometres, and a further six – Kondyli, Candia Iria, Arvanitia and Karathona – are easily reached by car or bus.
Archaeological sites are dotted all around the region, such as Argolida, 20 minutes' drive away on the eastern edge of the Peloponnese peninsula, and regional capital Tripoli just over an hour from the site. Xeni's also within easy reach of the acropolis of ancient Assini, 10 minutes away, and the spectacular archaeological site and UNESCO-listed Mycenae, within 40 minutes.
From Tolo, take the short KTEL bus ride to Nafplion, the first capital of the First Hellenic Republic in the early 19th century, for a pretty Old Town, the 'inner castle' of Acronauplia, and stunning views from the fortress of Palamidi just to the town's east.
