And it’s a good choice, because this Lower Saxony site is a place that certainly delivers on its promises. Book in here and you’ll be staying at a pitch surrounded by meadows and mature trees, with sunny and shaded spots available and the Weser river running alongside the site. It’s all very scenic and relaxing, with direct access to the water and plenty of space for those gorgeous moments like having your breakfast by the river or admiring a colourful sunset. You can also launch canoes or paddleboards if you like – or just put your feet up and chill out by the water. It may be all about the nature, but that doesn’t mean any lack of comfort. Facilities include a small café-bar, a play area, a sauna (available for an extra charge) and shared outdoor areas with comfy seating. Liked De supergrote staanplaatsen, alle voorzieningen aanwezig die nodig zijn en meer! Heel vriendelijke eigenaars. Prachtige zonsondergang en complete rust! Als tussenstop richting Zweden voor 2 nachten, vonden het jammer te moeten vertrekken. We komen zeker terug!

Liked Very cute place. Newly opened. Has great potential. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Nice that you can order bread for the morning. Nice toilet, shower facilities that are free to use..

Disliked They need some better routines for the service house..
The bins were totally overflowing when we arrived, and still hadn't been taken care of when we left.
The toilets building was nice, just needs someone to clean sometimes..
Plus the flusher on some toilet and urinals didn't work.
Didn't see much to do..

This is a lovely area for an outdoor break, with plenty of options for activities nearby – you might like to canoe or paddleboard along the Weser, cycle or walk along the riverside paths or go fishing at Angelpark Birkengrund (25 minutes’ drive). There are also a couple of golf courses nearby, or more adrenaline-packed times at Wakegarden Oyten (35 minutes). For other days out nearby, take the kids to Magic Park Verden (25 minutes), Serengeti Park Hodenhagen (50 minutes), the Weltvogelpark Walsrode bird park (40 minutes), Tobefix (15 minutes) or Wolfcenter GbR (half an hour), or check out intriguing museum displays like the vintage trains at Museums-Eisenbahn Bruchhausen-Vilsen - Asendor (35 minutes) or the motorbikes at DKW Motorradmuseum "Im 2-Takt” (45 minutes). A day trip to Bremen (40 minutes, or accessible by train) is a must – the Old Town is a wonderful place to wander, with statues to seek out and cute little alleyways to explore. Look out for the town musicians in the Market Square, climb the cathedral tower for excellent views and perhaps take the kids to the science-themed Universum Bremen.
