Decided on an outdoor break at Hüde in Lower Saxony? Choose family-run Campingplatz Dümmersee and you’ll have the choice of two places to lay your head. Whichever site you plump for, you’ll have use of a private boat harbour with slipway and crane, and access to all the watersports facilities of sprawling Dümmer Nature Park from your pitch. So how to make your choice? Site C10 sits directly on the banks of the Dümmersee and is handy for the beach, a surfing centre and school, boat rental and pedal-boat or paddleboard hire. It’s also close to an adventure playground, a mini-golf course and beach volleyball or boules courts – in short, an excellent base for families looking for lots of stuff to do. The quieter C12 campsite is about 10 minutes’ stroll from the lakeside in the centre of Hüde, and lends itself to stays with younger kids as it has an enclosed landscaped park and a small playground. Facilities available on both sites include modern shower blocks, a self-service laundry, dishwashers and washing-up sinks, as well as communal cooking areas (a small fee applies to the latter). When you don't fancy self-catering, it's handy to know that family favourites like schnitzels and burgers are served daily in Dümmer Perle restaurant, and you’ll come across a bakery, seafood bar, ice-cream parlour and a beach bar within 10 minutes’ walk.

Liked Schöner Platz, toll, das er gepflastert war, bei Regen optimal. Nah zum Wasser, toller Spielplatz. Sauber war es und sehr hilfsbereite nette Mitarbeiter. In der Nähe Bäcker, Eisdeele, toller Italiener und Bioladen mit Hofcafe.

Disliked Wenn kein Auto zur Verfügung steht ist kein Einkaufen in der Nähe vorhanden.
Wir fanden es ok, das Strom extra abgerechnet wird. Bei den Duschen fanden wir das echt lästig mit den Karten, besonders mit zwei 6jährigen Kindern, die selber duschen möchten. Da hätten wir lieber pro Tag etwas mehr bezahlt ohne dieses System. Die Familiendusche war zu klein. Und Abspülmöglichkeit zu wenig Plätze. Aber das sind nur Anmerkungen, wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt und kommen wieder😊.

Liked Wir hatten einen schönen unparzellierten Wohnmobilstellplatz auf C12 (Sommerwiese). Die Sommerwiese wurde neu errichtet und hat einen schönen Sanitärbereich mit Spülgelegenheit.

Disliked Vom Stellplatz C12 allerdings ein etwas weiter Weg runter zum See - ca. 500m-750m(geschätzt)
Wir hatten zwar jetzt trockenes Wetter aber für den Spülbereich wäre noch eine Überdachung gut (eigene Anregung)

Liked Die Anreise ist problemlos. Die Mitarbeitenden waren super nett. Die Stellplätze sind mit Strom-, Wasser- und Grauwasseranschlüssen ausgestattet. Wir waren Ende Februar für eine Woche hier. Es war total entspannend (Winter-Blues-Therapie;-). Absolut empfehlenswert.

Liked Der Campingplatz macht einen sehr sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck.Die Sanitäranlagen super Sauber.In den Sanitäranlagen wird auch immer Radio über Lautsprecher Tag und Nacht abgespielt. Toll!! Gute Laune garantiert schon beim Duschen mit Gebucht.Auch das Personal sehr nett und höflich.

The surrounding Dümmer Nature Park is watersports central, offering gear hire and lessons in everything from sailing and kayaking to windsurfing and paddleboarding on the lake. You can play golf, go for a swim, challenge your family to volleyball competitions and get the kids involved in mini-golf games… among many other sporting activities. Should you encounter a rare rainy day, simply divert to the indoor pool and sauna at Freizeitbad Dümmer leisure centre (five minutes’ walk). To explore deeper into the nature park, rent bikes and family buggies (10 minutes) to pedal the forest tracks, open moorland and boggy wetlands around the Dümmersee. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot storks, Arctic geese and cranes as you go – take the binoculars just in case. For spectacular views across forest to the wetlands of the nature park, clamber up to the top of the Dammer Schweiz observation platform (20 minutes’ drive). If everyone’s worn out with all the physical activity, head to the pretty village of Diepholz (15 minutes) for a nose around the moated 12th-century castle and its natural-history museum.
