Camping Île de la Comtesse is on the banks of Cuchet lake, a natural feature of the Rhône river, close to the village of Murs-et-Gélignieux. There's a beach 400 metres away, and the site also has direct access to the walking/cycle paths on the banks of the Rhône. The mountains and lakes of the surrounding area have lots more activities, too, including sailing, climbing, canoeing and riding the Vélorail along an old railway line. Among the facilities on site are a swimming pool with waterslides, paddling pool, pétanque court, volleyball court, games room, playground, bar/snack bar with takeaway and a mini market with bread service in high season. In summer, the site has a kids' club running in the mornings, along with a programme of activities for all ages, including fitness classes, karaoke evenings, shows and sports tournaments. Guests at Camping Île de la Comtesse can also use the site's free wifi, washing-up area, launderette with washing machine and tumble dryer, and sanitary blocks with toilets, showers and baby bathroom.
