Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked The site is in a lovely area with easy access to the public lake, which is spacious, great for swimming and has lovely walks around the lake. A couple of cafes and public facilities are also available.
The site itself has a new toilet block and plenty of hot water and adjoining pot washing facilities.
Disliked Sadly the site is very old and looks unloved. The area around the private lake reminded me of a disused campsite from the 1950s.
The ironwork ladders into the lake have badly chipped paintwork and are rusty in parts. As for the services, especially the electric connectivity, these are mostly found installed in wooden boxes which look like they would fall apart. There are some green plastic hookup boxes but not many.
There is also no WIFI despite the Pitch Up website indicating there is.
The pitches are not marked out and so people just park wherever they find a spot and so getting access to hookup is hit and miss. We were given a site map but as there are no marked pitches it was guess work as to which pitch we were in. Even if there were just simple wooden numbered pegs in the ground it would have helped.
The site has noise from a major road on one side, and the SNCF trains on the opposite side. I had read the previous reviews so was aware of this but the noise is more noticeable than previous feedback indicated. The trains run past approx. every 45 minutes/hourly, starting at about 6am through to 10pm.
We have travelled in a motorhome around Europe extensively so are used to variations in sites and services and if you are just looking for a very basic and cheap secure site for an overnight stop or a couple of days, this site would be fine.

Parfait
Electric optional grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked Un camping familial comme on les aime. Pas de chichi , des toilettes propres si les campeurs les laisse bien sûr. Des arbres partout, des canards qui vous tiennent compagnie, tout est paisible. Vue sur le mont blanc.
