    Nice view.

    Disliked:

Pitches are all on a significant slope making pitching a problem . At the time of our stop (high season ) no grasses had been cut and thistle type weeds are up through the grass, where it is obvious horses or other animals have grazed , leaving behind what they do . Insects and horseflies are a problem as there are horses , sheep and goats grazing next to you . two hardstanding concrete pads are barely big enough for a family car , a caravan will need to be tiny . I also do not like staying on a site where touring caravans have no wheels and are surrounded by rusting junk and rough timber nailed on to make verandahs? Think tinkers camp. An onsite restaurant has been closed for quite a while but menus still taped to windows have dead flies trapped behind them , why not clear it away? An extensive shower block is only partly in use suggesting busier times here , possibly before the proprietors decided to focus on lodges , however the sanitaires actually in use are of very low standard with holes in the tilework where fittings are missing and are generally grubby. The children's wet play area is dismantled and lying on the concrete . A site as remote as this needs to be somewhere you want to spend time . this isn't it.
We paid in advance for seven nights and stayed for two only because we did not want to re pitch two nights in a row .
This is an honest evaluation at the time . To say take it up with the owners misses the point, it will take months of work to improve this site but I don't think they plan to .
