What customers say
This is a wonderfully peaceful campsite with a scenic riverside location, just a short walk from a charming village. Visitors consistently praise the incredibly friendly and helpful owners, the clean facilities (including showers with hot water), and the spacious pitches. Amenities like a communal fridge, a cafe/bar, and the option to order fresh bread are highly appreciated. Kayaking on the river is a popular activity. While some found the facilities a touch outdated, this did not detract from the overall positive and relaxing experience for most.

Excellent site for a stopover with older children. Would use again.
Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Excellent friendly staff. In the evening there was a gathering with beer brewed locally and fresh food served in a quiet friendly atmosphere attended by campers as well as locals. Fabulous family atmosphere. No major noise to disturb an early night. Extremely beautiful setting. Canoe station on site (not used). Clean showers and toilets. Bread can be ordered for the morning. Great spacing between the tents (pitched anywhere). This is a great place to relax. Not a raised loud voice anywhere.
Disliked All the negatives had nothing to do with the site operators in my opinion.
The river next to site with bathing access was 'dirty' with brown algae and smelled funny. We were told by reception staff that there are bacteria but okay to shower off after, which we did without bad effects. There were cows next to the river so probably pollution from field run off. Not for small children in my opinion, especially as the river is freely accessible which represents its own dangers. Fine for adults to cool off in for a few minutes.
The women's showers were being used by a man and a teenage boy of around 17 years when we got there. They eventually left when the lady with them told them we were there. Ignored us. Perhaps they had been unable to find the showers at the rear of the building.
The people next to us (arrived later and pulled up on the other side of the path), smoked pot till late into the night. We went to bed early so could not smell it inside the tent but noticed it was still going on in the early hours of the morning when we went to the toilets.
Okay for a stopover, not great for a longer stay or with children as smoking pot isn't our thing. They were very quiet so we ignored it.
No toilet paper; we know this is normal in France, so brought our own.

Beautiful site, friendly owners
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked Wonderful site with friendly hosts, sadly it sounds like they are leaving next year.
Site was very quiet apart from a large group of kids on an activity weekend (they were no trouble) so we got to pitch up where we fancied. Plenty of shade, access to the river, cold drinks and ice cream available.
Disliked Facilities a touch outdated, although clean
